Take the elevator to the fifth floor (sixth floor American) and step into this sunny and spacious 970-square-foot duplex flat in Paris. You'll find the living room on your left and a staircase up to the bedrooms straight ahead. There are ample closets for coats and baggage.

The central Paris location is the perfect base from which to explore the City of Light.

Looking back towards the entryway from the living room, you will see the chic spiral staircase with a brushed steel railing and encased in by a circular glass brick wall. Just beyond is a pretty antique, inlaid console and the powder room to the right. Above the console is a pretty picture from long ago of charming children.

The Bordeaux flat has excellent security with a code panel on the outside door, locked inner door to lobby, steel reinforced apartment door and a safe for your valuables.

Furnished in yellows, with oak parquet floors, cream-colored walls and a white antique fireplace, the living room is spacious and extremely comfortable for relaxing at the end of a long day of sightseeing or shopping. There are two large sofas, a beautiful antique mirror and large coffee table.

All of our French doors and windows have been fitted with sound proof glass, the same as used in luxury hotels. The apartment is very quiet and it's hard to believe you are in the middle of Paris--until you gaze at the view!

Sofas convert to fully-made beds without removing cushions!
Two long sofas are covered in pale yellow in the luxury apartment living room. The design is excellent; flip down the back of each sofa and they easily convert to fully made single beds, without needing to remove any cushions.

There is an antique white carrara marble fireplace against the far wall, a warm focal point for your group while on your vacation in Paris. On the left inside the cabinet is a large TV and a dual-standard DVD player so you can bring your favorite movies from home. To the right of the fireplace is a stereo, where you can play your favorite CDs. The oak floors and original features, such as the fireplace, make a warm and welcoming home while you're on your vacation in Paris.

Just beyond the living room is the dining area, with a rounded bar separating the two. A glass and wood table sits just on the other side of the bar with six chairs to enjoy long lunches and dinners with friends and family.

The kitchen of the luxury Bordeaux flat is larger than most Paris kitchens. This spacious area is very sunny because two large windows sit on each side of the double sink, opening onto an inner courtyard. If you love to cook, it's a real dream, with excellent counter space and every appliance you might need including a large refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave and four-burner cooktop.

Plenty of bench space to prepare a fabulous meal
The luxury apartment rental kitchen is sunny and has loads of countertops, a real plus. The Bordeaux kitchen is spacious and fully equipped, so you can truly cook or entertain during your stay in Paris. And, shopping at the nearby Rue Cler is a huge bonus, as it's one of the most famous streets for food in Paris.

The spacious master bedroom has large windows that provide spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower. There is a high quality king-sized bed which can be made into single beds if you prefer. There are plenty of closets on the right, leading to the en suite bathroom.

Art Deco shower in the Master Bathroom of our flat in Paris
Opposite the bathtub is a rounded shower. The long lights are reminiscent of soft art deco shapes and the result is a gorgeous bathroom. We had a long wait to receive the mosaic tiles, but they contrast beautifully with the pale marble countertops and floors. A stainless steel radiator heats your towels and adds to the romantic 30's look.

Downstairs powder room with toilet and sink
There are two toilets in this luxury two bedroom Paris apartment, more than in most two bedroom Paris apartment rentals. This downstairs powder room includes a toilet and sink--great for extra getting-ready room. Small octagon shaped tiles were inlaid above the sink, with pretty arched gold tap. An added convenience is the fact that the second toilet is located on the landing outside the bedrooms, so accessible to everyone--not always possible in Paris apartment rentals.

Bedroom Two has twin beds and Eiffel Tower views
The second bedroom is just next to the master bedroom at the top of the stairs. Gaze out the large windows and voila, you'll see the Eiffel Tower! It's funny how you'll find your children don't have to go to expensive amusements parks to enjoy themselves; we promise they will never forget the twinkling nights of La Grande Dame and their stay at this gorgeous apartment.

There are two single beds with Provencal-style bedspreads and a large built-in closet with plenty of hanging and drawer space. There is an antique mahogany dresser and tall white lamps mean you can read at night while looking out over Paris rooftops.

As in the master bedroom, the windows have special insulation for sound, the same as you find in luxury Paris hotels. And here, too, there are blackout roller blinds so you can sleep in complete darkness.

Second Bathroom has been remodeled in pale beige marble
The second bathroom is on the sixth floor landing, next to the second bedroom. This pretty room is remodeled in pale beige marble and has a full shower and under-the-counter sink, with a beige travertine marble countertop. The bathroom also has a washer and dryer by Miele, the best available. These are separate units for quicker washing and drying.

Second Bathroom has heated towel racks for extra warmth
Pale wood venetian blinds cover the second bathroom's window which overlooks the building's courtyard. There is also a heated towel rack for extra comfort.

Ecole Militaire sits at the end of the Champ de Mars park
At one end of the park you'll find the stately Ecole Militaire; this is the school where Napoleon received his military training. And the same grounds across the street, called the Champ de Mars park are where he and his fellow cadets drilled en masse. If you get up early in the morning for a walk, bike ride, or run, you will see the cadets jogging around the Eiffel Tower. The school became Napoleon's headquarters and housed the elite Emperor's Troops in 1795. Look closely and you'll see the damage from gunfire that occurred in the French Revolution in 1789, as well as the results of the shelling when the Prussians declared war on France in 1870 to defeat Napoleon III. There were four ancient statues on the façade that represented: Might, Peace, Victory, and France. The statue of Victory is of Louis XV. Few of the statues are still standing, as most were destroyed during the French Revolution.

Champs de Mars Park across the street from your Paris flat
Stroll to the beautiful Champs de Mars Gardens which surrounds the Eiffel Tower. There are very few large parks in Paris and it's a treat to jog, rent bikes, and even play basketball here. There is an old puppet theatre where young thespians work the 'Guignols' (the old puppets) and generations of French children have laughed at their antics. The merry-go-round dates from the turn of the last century and is still hand-cranked. It's a simple pleasure but children love riding on it, trying to catch the ring with the little wooden stick they are given.

You'll love strolling through the streets around our Chablis apartment to see, smell, and taste the many fancy sweets on display in bakery windows. You'll see things you've never imagined and they are all delicious! Our guests' children love picking out desserts for their meals.

Be amazed by the selection at Paris' famous cheese shops
We love cheese and the choice and flavors are irresistible in Paris! Two of our favorite cheese shops are on rue Cler, la Fromagerie, with its wonderful goat's cheese specialties; and, Marie-Anne Cantin, famous throughout Paris. When you shop at any cheese shop for a soft cheese, tell them which day you would like to eat it and they will squeeze them until they find just the right one, which will be perfect the day you wish to enjoy it!

Rue Cler has four many flower shops; stop here on your first day and buy a beautiful bouquet for your stay! Rue Cler is famous throughout Paris and it's four blocks from your luxury Paris apartment rental. It's famous for its food shops--from fishmongers, butchers and bakers to excellent produce, cheese and charcuterie shops. It is also where you can sit and people-watch from several excellent brasseries and cafés.

Our luxurious Bordeaux flat is surrounded by boutique stores; you're also a short walk from some of the most famous fashion houses including Dior, Valentino, Givency, Hermes, Chanel, and many more.
