Our 'Chateau Latour' Paris apartment is located in the center of the village-like atmosphere of the 7th arrondissement, near the Champ de Mars Park with its lush gardens, playgrounds, and the Eiffel Tower. Surrounded
- Eiffel Tower
- Ecole militaire de Paris
Where Napoleon went to military school. Look at this beautiful building and find the bullet holes still evident from the Revolution.
- Invalides
Invalides where Napoleon is buried. Musee' de l'Armee' one of the most interesting military museums in the world, from ancient times, to the middle ages and beyond.
- Sewer Tour of Paris
Highly recommended visit to see underground Paris. The sewers of Paris are impeccably clean, but with its vaulted ceilings and street markets, a very 'Phantom of the Opera' experience.
- Trocadero and Museum of Cinema
- Arc de Triomphe
- Rue Cler
Rue Cler -- famous market street in Paris
- Alma Open Market
One of the largest open markets in Paris; shop here for the freshest foods from the countryside.

Views from the Apartment
- The balcony provides unobstructed, spectacular views upon the Eiffel Tower plus panoramic views of Sacre Cœur and the Arc de Triomphe across the river Seine. These truly amazing views can be seen directly from the living room and the master bedroom as well.
In the Neighborhood
- Ecole Militaire metro is 3 blocks away; 6 blocks to Pont de l'Alma metro and RER; three main buses stop one block away.
- You are seven blocks to the incredible Rodin Museum; four blocks to Chirac’s new Museum of Ethnic Arts.
- The luxury apartment is three blocks from the American Library, an institution in Paris where you can take out a daily membership and catch up on the news, read, and work and use their internet facilities.
- 10 minutes to the Invalides, a masterpiece of French Classical architecture built by Louis XIV. Napoleon’s tomb rests under the golden dome. Here is the Musée de l’Armée, housing the finest collection of arms, armour and uniforms in the world; it is especially renowned for its enormous collection of Medieval Armor.
- You are two blocks from the Ecole Militaire where Napoléon attended military school. This became Napoleon’s headquarters and housed his elite Emperor’s Troops in 1795. The buildings still show gunfire signs from the French Revolution in 1789 and the shelling when the Prussians declared war on France in 1870, to defeat Napoleon III. There are four statues on the façade representing: Might, Peace, Victory and France. The statue of Victory is of Louis XV. Few of them remain as the rest were destroyed during the French Revolution.
- One block to the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars. The Champ de Mars Park is a rare bonus in Paris as there are few large parks. Walk, run, play in 1 of 3 playgrounds, basketball court, go to the puppet theater or just sit and enjoy. Nearby skating and bike rental are fun activities, especially after strenuous site seeing. This is especially attractive for families, because children need to have time to enjoy playing along with site-seeing during their stay in Paris.
- Rue de Grenelle Open Market: open on Wednesdays and Sundays. Prices are excellent at this market located a few minutes walk in the 15th arrondissement.
- Rue du Commerce, near La Motte Piquet metro is 10 minutes walk and a lively French neighborhood: find excellent fresh foods, loads of clothing stores and perfume shops as well as the Monoprix department store (a French Target), with supermarket on the first floor -- good quality and great prices.
- Ave de Saxe is open on Thursday and Saturdays and is undoubtedly among the most beautiful in Paris. Find many organic and deluxe food stands.
- Pont de l'Alma is a five-minute walk and has the largest open market in Paris every Wednesday and Saturday morning.
- Rue Cler is one block away, one of the best and most famous streets for food in Paris; open every day including Sunday morning but many shops are closed on Mondays. Our favorite cheese merchant is here; tell them which day you wish to eat it and they will hand pick the perfect selection!
- Three large open markets nearby: Pont de l’Alma, Rue de Grenelle and Ave. de Saxe.
- 20 minutes walk to the Bon Marché department store.
- 30 minutes to the department stores on Blvd. Haussman.
- You are 25-minutes walk to the Place de la Concorde, La Madeleine.
- You are a 20-minute walk to the Champs Elysées and new Louis Vuitton flagship store.
- You are fifteen minutes walk to the Four Seasons George V or Plaza Athenee’ Hotel where the final episode of Sex and the City was filmed. Relax in either for tea or 3-star dining after a hard day of shopping. You will appreciate even more our luxury Paris apartment with unforgettable views when you check the prices of their rooms!
- You are 15 minutes walk to the Grand Couturier's on Ave. Montaigne -- from Dior to Chanel, to Hermes, Givenchy, Valentino, Bonpoint, Ungaro, Ynes de la Fressange, Loewe, Bulgari, Ferragamo, Max Mara, Scherrer, Jimmy Choo, to the outrageous Jean-Paul Gaultier and many, many more. Please see our link on Paris Shopping for more details.
- 12 minutes to the Trocadéro and the Grand Palais where World Famous Art Exhibitions are held.
Summary
- You are surrounded by restaurants that local Parisians go to, cafés, bistros and shops.
- Our neighborhood is famous for its open food markets where you will find more than any other quartier in Paris. Merchants come from all over France with wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, Brittany lobster, pâtés, breads, even five types of escargots!
- The location is one of the safest and most sought-after in Paris.
- Seventh floor (8th floor American) means the Paris luxury apartment is light and high above street. Double glass windows for excellent sound insulation; the rooms are quiet with the windows closed.
