Enjoy glorious views of the Eiffel Tower from both sets of French doors in the living room and, of course, the large balcony. The Eiffel Tower is bathed in light every evening, and then for five minutes every hour on the hour it bursts to life in twinkling halogen lights, an awesome sight to witness and one that you'll never forget.

Cross the street to the gardens that surround the Eiffel Tower. We recommend taking the glassed-in double-decker elevator up to the Viewing Gallery on the third level - at 905 feet it's possible to see for 45 miles on a clear day! If you're adventuresome, you can climb the 360 steps or take the elevator up to the first level, where you can mail home your postcards from the post office located there. Climb another 359 steps or take the elevator to reach the second level's Jules Verne Restaurant. Nothing beats staying at a short-term rental in Paris located on the Left Bank near the Tour Eiffel, near to open air markets, world-class shopping, delicious restaurants and museums!

The living room of our Cognac short-term apartment rental extends along the front of the apartment to provide this cozy and beautifully-furnished sitting area with access to the balcony and the gorgeous views.

This section of the living room is quite beautiful, the centerpiece being the original white marble fireplace (decorative only). Note how the intricate crown molding flows into the delicate framing of the central and side mirrors. Another beautiful chandelier hangs here, as does more fine artwork.

The second sofa faces the French doors and easily converts into a double bed at night. Just imagine waking up here every morning, looking out over the rooftops, and peeking out to see the Eiffel Tower!

You can close the drapes for dark, although many of our guests enjoy the city lights twinkling in at night.

For your entertainment, we provide a flat-screen television and a dual-standard DVD player so you can rent movies nearby or bring your favorite ones from home. You'll also find a CD stereo system, so be sure to bring along your best music selections. The stereo also features a jack for connecting your MP3 player.

Fully remodelled kitchen with modern appliances
The kitchen is long and sleek, totally modern, and roomy enough for an angled, granite-topped bar and a dining table that seats eight. Beautiful lighting is provided by recessed halogen lights in the kitchen area, a crystal chandelier above the dining table, and decorative wall sconces.
The dining table features a glass top complimented with chocolate brown leather chairs. Loads of modern cabinetry line the walls; stocked with all of the cookware and serving pieces you'll ever need, including white porcelain dishes from E. Dehellerin - the shop that furnishes the best restaurants in Paris.

The kitchen features top-of-the-line appliances including a full-sized refrigerator-freezer, convection oven, microwave, toaster, glass-top four-burner cook top, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, and even a Nespresso-brand espresso machine!

By far, the biggest advantage when comparing a stay in a hotel to one of our apartment rentals is being able to prepare your own meals and enjoy dining at home in a beautiful apartment. The cost savings are tremendous when you consider the expense of having to dine out for every meal.

You'll be able to take full advantage of shopping in the local open markets, selecting the very freshest of ingredients, and dining at home in a casual atmosphere without the hassle of having to dress up to go out all the time.

Master bedroom is large and quite romantic
You'll find the master bedroom of our Cognac short-term apartment rental in Paris to be large and quite romantic. It features an extra-wide, queen-sized bed with top-quality mattress - the same as those used in Paris' finest hotels!

For our guests who enjoy reading in bed, we've added modern lamps to the two antique-style marble-topped tables. And, you'll be assured of a good night's sleep because this bedroom overlooks the quiet inner courtyard.

It's especially fun to watch movies that were made in Paris, seeing who among you is the first to recognize the landmarks and street scenes you've visited during your stay.

Plenty of storage space
There is plenty of storage with built-in closets and a large dresser in the master bedroom of our short-term apartment rental in Paris.

Another important amenity you'll find in our Cognac apartment is a separate clothes washer and dryer, stored in one of the closets in the hallway leading to the bedrooms. Again, that's a big plus when you compare staying in a hotel to one of our short-term apartment rentals. Having a washer and dryer greatly reduces the amount of clothes you need to pack, not to mention having to carry that extra weight around, significant when you consider the increased costs of international air travel.

Bedroom 2 has single beds and pretty courtyard view
The second bedroom of our Cognac apartment also faces the courtyard, an advantage for light sleepers, as it is away from the main living areas.

Three large built-in closets for storing everything out of sight. This bedroom features two comfortable twin beds with similarly pleasing headboards.

Of course, you'll find the same high-quality mattresses, but it's also important to note that the pillows and linens in all of our apartments are also of the very best quality available. Nothing beats wrapping yourself in luxurious high-thread-count sheets when you're ready to turn in! If it's a bit warm you can throw open the window and turn on the ceiling fan, or use one of the two portable air conditioners you'll find in this short-term apartment rental. We've also provided a flat-screen television with dual-standard DVD player and, if you like to read in bed, there are reading lamps on the marble-topped bedside tables. Great for children while the adults are relaxing in the double living room.

After a long day of sightseeing you can look forward to a long, hot soak in the tub, because our Cognac apartment features an 80-gallon hot water heater, the largest available in Paris! Then, wrap yourself in one of the many plush white towels we provide and feel free to use the complimentary lotions we leave for you. Plus, there's no need to pack a hairdryer as you'll find one here for your use.

Bathroom one also features two large bowl-shaped white porcelain sinks, a large mirrored medicine cabinet, heated towel racks, convenient electrical outlets, and halogen lighting.

The first toilet is situated between both bathrooms. Having a WC is actually a great Parisian amenity that houses the toilet along with a small sink separate from the bathrooms, allowing for its use when the bathrooms are otherwise occupied. They are especially convenient when everyone is scurrying around getting ready to go out, as they free up bathroom space for others.

Bathroom Two features a walk-in shower with both fixed and flexible showerheads, double sinks, handy electrical outlets, and a toilet.

The shower and walls are beautifully finished in large beige tile, and all of the fixtures are modern brushed chrome.

The two large porcelain sinks sit atop an open countertop with plenty of glass shelving beneath, perfect for storing away everyone's toilet kits when not in use. Above the sinks is an extra-large mirrored medicine cabinet for even more storage. To help you appreciate all this beauty and more easily tend to your needs, you'll find plenty of good lighting.

At ParisPerfect, we make every attempt to go the extra mile, like installing heated towel racks or the extra hooks you see here, mounted next to the shower.

Your view of the Bastille Day fireworks from your balcony
This photo was taken on Bastille Day from the balcony of our Cognac short term apartment rental. You can see how close to the Eiffel Tower Cognac is - a mere two blocks to the Parc du Champs de Mars where La Grande Dame soars into the sky! It's a real plus to be so close to such a wide-open green space. Paris doesn't have many parks where you can jog or even rent bicycles, and it's great for you and the kids to have some fun and burn off your energy. It sure beats running around the lobby or up and down the halls of a hotel. The park sets up mini-tracks for the little ones to pedal cars around, there's a puppet theater to keep them entertained, and you'll even find a carousel or two. The park is especially nice for taking a leisurely stroll after dinner, and you should make a point to join the crowd below the Eiffel Tower when it first lights up in the evening. You'll find yourself caught up with the crowd as they 'ooh' and 'aah' when it bursts into life.

Staying in our Cognac apartment rental means you'll be close to a lot of Paris' most famous landmarks. At the opposite end of the park from the Eiffel Tower is the Ecole Militaire, where Napoleon went to military school. Just five blocks east of the school is the Invalides, where Napoleon's tomb rests under the golden dome of this masterpiece of French Classical architecture. Today, it also houses the Musée de l'Armée, one of the world's finest collections of arms, uniforms, and medieval armor.

Visit the world famous Rodin museum
Next door to the Invalides, and within six blocks of our Cognac vacation rental in Paris, France is the Rodin Museum and its sculpture garden (a great place for a picnic!)

From there, head towards Musée Branly, a stunning new museum housing ethnic arts and artifacts from throughout the world. Be sure to visit its award-winning natural gardens and eat at the café that overlooks them.

Delicious pastries three doors away
This picture of delicious pastries was taken only three doors away from our Cognac apartment. Now there's no excuse for not popping in to select each night's dessert, especially since you'll been out getting your exercise every day. We often hear from our guests that the highlight of their children's visit was picking out their daily treats.

Shopping along the famous rue Cler is so much fun!
This is one of the quaint shops on the famous Rue Cler market street. Our favorite cheese merchant here can help you decide what's best to go along with your meal, even selecting the optimum choice based on when you plan to serve it! In addition to the many quality specialty shops located on Rue Cler, in the neighborhood of our short-term apartment rental in Paris, you'll find a grocery store and a frozen food store. Surprisingly, the French seem to have mastered this convenience, so you can still enjoy fine French dining even when you don't feel like cooking.

Outdoor cafés surround our Cognac apartment
No matter where you wander throughout Paris, you'll find yourself passing numerous outdoor cafés - and the neighborhood surrounding our Cognac short-term apartment rental certainly has its fair share. Many local Parisians flock to these venues not only to eat and drink, but also to escape their dark apartments and enjoy the sun. Even though Cognac is bathed in sunlight, you'll certainly want to experience the ambiance and social atmosphere of this local pastime, not to mention the people watching.

You'll definitely find yourself stopping to admire how skillfully merchants construct their arrangements; and, by all means, take the opportunity to bring some back to the apartment. You'll not only greatly appreciate how much they enhance the beauty of the rooms, but you'll also more fully immerse yourself in 'la vie Parisienne', to truly capture those memories of a lifetime.

Exploring the neighborhood is an adventure in itself. We saw these wonderful bottles of lemonades on rue Cler, just three blocks from our Cognac short-term apartment rental in Paris.

You’ll find three more open air markets, among the best in Paris within a few minutes walk. Each is open on different days so you can explore all.

Food is very important to Parisians and you'll be constantly passing by shops offering their culinary delights. By all means, take advantage, especially since you'll be able to prepare your own meals in Cognac's kitchen before dining al fresco out on the balcony.

Shop at the Grand Couturiers along Avenue Montaigne
OK, power shoppers, your dream of a lifetime has finally come true! Avenue Montaigne, with the Grand Couturiers, is only a 20-minute walk away from our Cognac short-term apartment rental in Paris. Another five minutes and you're at the Champs Elysée and the new Louis Vuitton flagship store. The Place de la Concorde and la Madeleine are but a 30-minute walk, and it's only 15 minutes to the Bon Marché department store. Go nuts!
