This luxurious, sun-filled room provides the perfect place for lazing around in the afternoon and simply enjoying your special time with family and friends. There are two sets of French windows which allow plenty of ventilation. We have also installed a mobile air conditioning unit in the living room and in the bedroom for those warmer nights in Paris.

After a long day sightseeing, nothing beats coming home to your luxury apartment rental in Paris and taking time to unwind in your delightful living room. Curl up on the couch with a good book, or catch up on the news or watch a move on the flat-screen TV. The apartment is fitted with cable television so you can watch several English-language channels.

Sofa converts into a comfortable double bed at night
A comfortable sofa that we had made for us in Italy converts into a double bed at night. The design is excellent as you simply and easily pull it out without removing a single cushion. It is great for relaxing on and the high-quality construction means a superb sleep at night. We have most of the sofas especially made for us in our Paris apartments, because we want our guests to be comfortable and to come back and stay with us time and again.

The scene of Mardi Gras in Venice has beautiful details of the folds in the embroidered clothing worn by the figures. The stone balcony in front of them seems almost real. Tall wooden lamps sit on either side of the sofa with fuchsia lampshades, adding a warm light.

It's fun to enjoy the special features of beautiful old Paris apartments; for example, the original white porcelain stove which heated the apartment in olden days takes center position next to the dining table. Open the brass doors and there is a small shelf where the family would keep dinner warm and even bake bread when the stove was lit.

Your vacation in Paris isn't complete without fresh croissants for breakfast and to-die-for views: you can see La Grande Dame de Paris from living room and bedroom. Stand at the large windows of the apartment's living room and bedroom and there she stands in all her glory.

You will love buying fresh warm croissants at the pâtisserie on the corner each morning, or choosing a special dessert after lunch or dinner. Our guests tell us that shopping for croissants and desserts is the best part of their visit!

Theatre scenery paintings hang next to the fireplace
The paintings on either side of the antique fireplace are details taken from a grand scene painted during the Renaissance, highlighting the details of draperies and foliage. You'll find similar paintings in the Louvre and personally we love the tiny details as much as the grand scenes themselves.

Eiffel views and a glass of fine Cognac - perfect!
If you have a portable tripod, set it us and focus on the best view, then wait for the minute hand to strike twelve. We are amateurs when it comes to photography -- we set our cameras to a night setting and let the automatic night setting do all the work - the photos turn out beautifully. Most cameras have a fireworks setting as well, which captures the 20,000 lights as they start to twinkle. Whether you've seen the magic light show once or a hundred times, you'll want to stay up for another hour to enjoy it again.

The living room features the original parquet floors and the same antique marble fireplace and mirror from when it was built in the 1800's. Decorated in beige with highlights of fuchsia and apple green, it feels welcoming when you step inside.

We discovered the painting of the Venetian mardi gras in Paris and thought it would be perfect behind the sofa. The green of the servant's waistcoat matches the far wall, a happy coincidence.

The sofabed flips open to convert to a double bed at night. It's comfortable and convenient -- you don't have to remove the seat and back cushions, simply pull the tab at the back and voila', it opens to a bed!

Having a kitchen and a dining area are among the many advantages of staying in an apartment for your Paris holiday as you don't have to go out for every meal, but can enjoy eating with family and friends without having to get dressed up every evening.

The beautiful oak dining table in the Cote de Beune rental is complement by four upholstered chairs sits, creating a very Parisian feel in the apartment. It sits in front of a large mirror that reflects light throughout the apartment.

The headboard in the bedroom was crafted especially for the bedroom, by an Italian company that still uses the original fresco techniques from the 1400's. The restful colors match the curtains on the windows. The best feature of all, though, is the Eiffel Tower view from the bedroom and living room windows. Every evening after dark you're in for the treat of a lifetime -- the fabulous twinkling lightshow on the Eiffel Tower. It lasts for five minutes every on the hour, so get your cameras ready!

The kitchen has been completely remodeled with plenty of white cabinets for storage and loads of counter top workspace. You'll find a full-size refrigerator-freezer, combination convection-microwave oven, toaster, coffee pot, espresso maker, combination washer-dryer, and all the necessary cooking and serving accessories you'll ever need, including white porcelain dishes from E. Dehellerin - the shop that furnishes all good Parisian restaurants.

Prepare meals from fresh local products that you've found while touring Paris--or do as we do, go to the Picard frozen food store a few blocks away and stock up on fresh frozen soups, vegetables, souffles, and more--and pretend you slaved all day to prepare dinner at home in your Paris apartment.

Our favorite cheese shops (Marie Cantin and the specialist goats cheese shop on rue Cler) remind us when our favorite Beaufort is in season, with the special grainy-like texture. They taught us that the best Beaufort is produced from cows summer milk, not winter milk, a subtle but important difference if you love cheese. Or having friends for dinner and ordering St. Felicien that is slightly runny on the outside and Camembert from Normandy. Our cheese proprietor will squeeze them until he is sure he has found that one that will be perfect for tonight.

You'll love strolling through the streets around our Chablis apartment to see, smell, and taste the many fancy sweets on display in bakery windows. You'll see things you've never imagined and they are all delicious! Our guests' children love picking out desserts for their meals.
