Admire the Invalides dome from the Médoc apartment bedroom
Our delightful Médoc apartment has French doors in the living room and bedroom that open onto small balconies. Step out and enjoy the views over the rooftops and towards the golden dome of the Invalides Church, where Napoleon is buried. At night you can see it softly lit up in the distance.

  • Médoc

View of the ancient clock tower from the dining room window
A real treat is in store when you look out the large dining room window; you stare directly at the ancient Clock Tower of the 7th arrondissement! It is a lovely site and you know you are in the center of an old European City the moment you look out.

  • Médoc

Monsieur Lapin greets you on your arrival
Our 485-square-foot Medoc apartment is located on the 7th floor (yes, there is an elevator!) and can sleep up to four people in air conditioned comfort.

Step into this charming Paris rental and greet Monsieur Lapin, the rabbit coat hook which is dressed as a French hunter - he is truly adorable.

We named this apartment Médoc, after a wine made in one of the most prized regions of Bordeaux that produces some of the best wines in the world. It's a natural fit as Médoc is located in Paris' most prized arrondisement, the 7th, and this rental is one of the best one-bedroom apartments we have to offer.

  • Médoc

Remodeled apartment with open plan living and dining areas
Médoc has been completely remodeled and features a beautiful open plan living room, dining area and kitchen. There are two large windows in the dining area, so sun streams into the apartment all day long. Two chandeliers grace the living room and dining area, giving the room a pretty French feel. The dining table expands to seat six for dinner.

Not to be missed is the piece de resistance in this room, the large window with direct view of the Ancient Clock Tower in the 7th arrondissement. It's a beautiful view day and night. You will so enjoy dining at home, reconnecting with family and friends over easy-to-prepare meals from dishes you have bought at the local markets nearby.

  • Médoc

A large antique mirror hangs on the wall facing the balcony
An antique white mirror hangs on the wall opposite the balcony, reflecting the sunlight and balcony view into the Médoc apartment. These small touches make this a lovely apartment to live in during your Paris vacation.

  • Médoc

Views from the living area towards the small balcony
Gazing from the sofa towards the balcony of our Médoc Paris rental is enchanting. You are on the 7th floor (8th floor American, with elevator) and see over the rooftops! In the mornings, with the sun shining and balcony doors open, you feel how special it is to be in the heart of Paris, staying in a charming Paris rental such as the this one.

Step outside and enjoy the village-like feel of 7th arrondissement, where you are surrounded by cafés and restaurants. Not only that, but you are walking distance to many Paris monuments and landmarks, including two blocks to the Grande Dame de Paris, the Eiffel Tower.

  • Médoc

The sofa was made in Italy; it converts to two single beds
We had the long sofa made for us in Italy and love the quality. You can take naps on it during the day or simply relax after a long day of shopping and sightseeing. At night, a trundle pulls out from underneath, pops up and voila you have two single beds.

Facing the sofa will be two comfortable armchairs in contrasting fabric (they hadn't arrived when we took the apartment pictures).

  • Médoc

Parisian fresco hangs behind the sofa of our Medoc apartment
The pretty fresco behind the sofa of the Paris rental was made using the same process during the Rennaissance, wet plaster applied to a wall and quickly designed and painted on. The warm colors in beiges and browns blend beautifully with the sofa and curtains. Reading lamps hang on either side of the sofa so you have plenty of light.

We try to think of everything for our Paris rentals: plenty of lights and lamps, lots of hot water for showers, lots of information about Paris and the neighborhood, and a warm welcome when you arrive at our Paris rental.

  • Médoc

View from the entryway into the living room
Stand at the entryway and look left past the living room to peek into the bedroom of our short term apartment in Paris. You see the old mirror reflecting the lights of the chandelier when you stand close to it.

  • Médoc

Médoc apartment is decorated in tones of green and beige
The colors of our Médoc short term apartment are beiges and greens, with green and taupe striped silk curtains and pretty Provencal checks for the cushions.

  • Médoc

Old French clock from the Puces flea market
We found an old clock at the Puces flea market and hung it in the living room opposite the sofa. We love the combination of quality, modern furniture with antique touches; it gives guests a flavor of Paris and France along with the utmost comfort when they stay in our rentals. The appliances, electricity and plumbing in this Paris rental are all new, as are the quality furnishings. We love to mix them with fun accessories that we find on trips to the flea market and other antique markets. When they reserve, we give our Paris rental guests lots of advice on where to shop, how to bargain and more.

  • Médoc

Free wireless internet and TV with dual-standard DVD player
On the right of the living room is a niche with built-in desk, so you can catch up on work and emails should you desire. We offer free high speed internet so you can even call home from your computer for free with services such as Skype and Vonage. Above the desk is a large flat screen TV so you can watch CNBC, Sky and the BBC when you are home. There is also a dual standard DVD player, meaning you can bring your favorite movies from home and watch them, whereas regular French DVD players can only play French standard movies.

  • Médoc

See the ancient clock tower from the window above the desk
You can see the ancient Clock Tower from the window above your desk in the Medoc apartment. The abundance of windows means this apartment feels light and high above Paris rooftops.

  • Médoc

    Modern kitchen with every convenience
The kitchen of our Médoc apartment is just beyond the dining table, beautifully designed for convenience in pale beech wood. Find a full sized refrigerator with freezer, combination microwave convection oven, two burner stove, cappuccino machine plus traditional drip coffee maker, toaster and fine white porcelain dishes. We also stock a range of casserole dishes and more, so you can cook and serve with all the equipment you need. We've also installed a combined washer-dryer combination so that you can do your laundry.

Compared to what you would spend for tiny hotel rooms and numerous restaurant meals every day, you will find the amenities of our special apartments, the views and locations to be an exceptional value.

  • Médoc

    Compact kitchen design
We love the soft color of the wood used in the kitchen, and how it blends in with the dining area. We also love the compact design, which is perfect for a stay in Paris. Buy fresh foods at one of the four local markets nearby and bring it home to enjoy in the company of family and friends.

When you reserve one of our Paris rentals, we send a detailed information pack which explains where to find the markets, which days they are open and more, including favorite café's, restaurants, favorite shops, how to get around - so you can hit the ground running.

  • Médoc

Air conditioned bedroom with extra-wide queen bed
The bedroom of our Medoc Paris rental features an extra-wide, queen-sized bed, plenty of cupboards and a small balcony with views over Paris.

The bed is of the highest quality and extremely comfortable. We buy our mattresses from the suppliers who sell to the luxury hotels of Paris because we want you to enjoy a good night's sleep at our Paris rental apartments.

We have installed a portable air conditioner which vents to the outside so you are comfortable on those warm nights in Paris, a rare plus among Paris apartment rentals.

  • Médoc

Romantic headboard, hand-painted in a Raffaellesco design
The romantic headboard behind the extra-wide queen bed was designed for us and features a Raffaellesco design. We love the pastel colors and elegant design which adds a soft touch to the bedroom. The headboard matches the striped beige and yellow curtains in our Medoc short term apartment in Paris.

  • Médoc

    View towards the bedroom balcony
Gaze from the bed in our Paris rental bedroom towards the balcony. It's a lovely view in the mornings, when the sun streams in. Step out with your coffee and enjoy the view of the golden dome of Invalides and Paris rooftops.

  • Médoc

Bedroom with TV, dual-standard DVD player and stereo
Opposite the bed is a flat screen TV and stereo, so you can listen to your favorite music or watch TV in bed. There is also a dual standard DVD player, so you can put on a movie for the kids and let them relax while the adults have a glass of wine and prepare dinner in the kitchen.

  • Médoc

    Charming touches in the bedroom
A pretty round window frame which has been converted to a mirror adds a charming touch in the bedroom of our Medoc apartment. We found the mirror at the Puces, the flea market in Paris, where we find many of our accessories for our Paris rentals. Look closely; we love the way the headboard and crystal chandelier are reflected in the mirror.

  • Médoc

Well-designed bathroom with full-sized shower and sink
To the left of the kitchen is the pretty bathroom, tiled in beige Italian marble, with a geometric design in different colors for contrast. The bathroom features a full-sized shower with both fixed and flexible shower heads, a sink and shelves for storage. We also install plenty of hooks so you can hang your toilet kits and towels, something that guests at our Paris rentals really appreciate. The water heater is 80 gallons, the largest available for apartment use, so you won't run out of hot water during your stay in our Paris rental apartment.

  • Médoc

Bathroom has plenty of plush towels, storage & a hairdryer
The above-the-counter sink in our Medoc Paris rental bathroom sits on a marble countertop. There is a glass shelf for towels, storage underneath and a hairdryer on the wall to your right.

  • Médoc

Separate powder room with toilet and marble sink
The WC or powder room is just on your right as you step inside the Paris rental apartment. We made it a feature by rounding the wall on the living room side of the Medoc Paris rental. There is a toilet, counter and small marble sink in a shell design for your convenience. The powder room has lots of natural light from the long narrow windows on the right. Don't worry; there are curtains over the windows for privacy. It's a special convenience to have a separate powder room when you are a group, because you have extra room to get ready in the mornings.

  • Médoc

Shell-shaped marble bown was found in an antique market
The powder room of our Paris rental features a beautiful, shell-shaped marble bowl that we found in an antique market. We think it was originally meant for use in Church, but it could have been a garden ornament. We had the marble yard drill a hold in it for a plug and drain and voila a pretty hand basin for our Medoc Paris rental powder room!

  • Médoc

The Eiffel Tower is two blocks from our Médoc Paris rental
The neighborhood surrounding the Médoc Paris rental is unquestionably one of the best and safest in Paris. You are literally two blocks from La Grande De Paris, the Eiffel Tower. Walk, run, bicycle and picnic on the grounds surrounding it.

Kids and adults will love the nearby Champ de Mars gardens
The Champs de Mars gardens surrounds the Eiffel Tower and is a short walk from our Medoc short term apartment in Paris. It has four playgrounds, bicycle rental, mini-car tracks for kids to pedal around, and even a puppet theater to keep them entertained. Take a leisurely stroll after dinner and be sure to join the crowd below the Eiffel Tower when it first lights up in the evening.

Buy fresh flowers from the famous rue Cler market street
When you arrive, buy fresh flowers on the famous rue Cler. There are numerous flower stands here, but my favorite is on the corner of rue du Champs de Mars and rue Cler. You will want to wander down rue Cler to pick up the freshest fruits and vegetables, meats, cheeses and pastries too. The nicest thing about staying in a fine Paris rental apartment is the fact that you enjoy having meals at home, rather than buying all of your meals at restaurants. The prices really add up.

  • Médoc

Shop for all your foods at the three open markets nearby
Shop for all of your foods on rue Cler or at one of the three Open Markets nearby. The 7th is famous for its open markets, where merchants come from all over France with their finest foods and delicacies.

  • Médoc

You'll find a number of patisseries within a few blocks
Pastry is a passion here and you'll find a number of patisseries within a few blocks of our Medoc apartment rental in Paris, close enough to pop out every morning so you can surprise your family and friends with mouth-watering temptations. Children especially love to pick out their own desserts and no meal in Paris is complete without freshly baked baguettes.

  • Médoc

Visit two of our favorite cheese shops on rue Cler
The choice and flavors of cheese available in Paris is unbelievable! Two of our favorite cheese shops are on rue Cler, la Fromagerie, with its wonderful goat's cheese specialties; and, Marie-Anne Cantin, famous throughout Paris. When you shop for soft cheese, tell them which day you would like to eat it and they will squeeze them until they find one that will be perfect for when you wish to enjoy it!
