What our guests say - Read more
“We stayed at the Manoir for a week in June 2007 and had a wonderful time. We have rented many vacation properties in Europe and the U.S. and this was by far the nicest place we have ever stayed. The house is graciously appointed, spacious and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, vast and well-manicured. There are an infinite number of special spots to while away the time with a good book and glass of wine or play a game of croquet. The caretakers (the Demey's) are both gracious and accommodating. We had arranged for Madame Demey to stock the refrigerator and prepare dinner for us on the night of our arrival. It was wonderful to have dinner cooking when we arrived on a rainy Saturday evening. (She is a wonderful cook!) Our stay was magical and we are already counting the days to our return.”

This beautiful home has been painstakingly restored to its original beauty and is surrounded by a large garden, wonderful for sitting outside and enjoying long meals on sunny days. Its village location means you can walk to your local baker, the weekly local market in the church square, the patisserie, greengrocer, butcher etc - all part of the charm of staying in France. It is an excellent base for exploring Normandy, one of the unspoiled regions of France.
The house has 5 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and can sleep up to ten. In addition, there is a guest cottage with living room, three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which sleeps six and is also available for rent. These buildings are surrounded by a large and quiet private garden. A private caretaker lives in the original caretakers lodge from the 1800's and is available to cater meals, provide daily housekeeping etc. for an additional fee.
Enter the Manor House from the courtyard and path through the garden to the entry hall. This is a large, sunny room with marble floors and touches of red. There is a large, comfortable beige sofa and two mahogany banquettes to make a comfortable, welcoming lounge. Guests enjoy lounging in this room or on the comfortable chaises longues in the garden at the end of a long day.
The large dining room with antique fireplace is on your right, decorated in French country style. The antique trestle table can seat up to ten and gives the room a warm ambiance, for lively meals together during your stay.
