Left bank, heart of the 7th arrondissement. Staying in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Paris means everything; the neighborhood retains its original village feel and the apartment is surrounded by cafés, shops, restaurants, and open markets.

Views from the Apartment

  • A rare and unforgettable view of the Eiffel Tower as you exit the building of our Paris apartment rental.

In the Neighborhood

  • Ecole Militaire métro is 6 blocks; 5 blocks to Pont de l'Alma métro.
  • The Paris apartment rental is only 10 minutes to the Invalides, a masterpiece of French Classical architecture built by Louis XIV. Napoleon’s tomb rests under the golden dome. Here also is the Musée de l’Armée, housing maybe the world's finest collection of arms, armor, and uniforms; it is especially renowned for its enormous collection of medieval armor.

  • The Paris apartment rental is 15 minutes to the incredible Musée Rodin and five blocks to Chirac’s new Museum of Ethnic Arts.
  • The Paris apartment rental is a short walk from the Ecole Militaire, at the far end of Champ de Mars, where Napoléon attended military school. This became Napoleon’s headquarters and housed his elite Emperor’s Troops in 1795. The buildings still show gunfire signs from the French Revolution in 1789 and the shelling when the Prussians declared war on France in 1870 to defeat Napoleon III. There are four statues on the façade representing: Might, Peace, Victory, and France. The statue of Victory is of Louis XV. Few of them remain as the rest were destroyed during the French Revolution.

  • 25 minutes to the Bon Marché department store.

  • 25 minutes to the department stores on Blvd Haussman.

  • The Paris apartment rental is a 15-minute walk to the Champs Elysées and new Louis Vuitton flagship store.

  • The Place de la Concorde, La Madeleine is a 20-minute walk.

  • The Paris apartment rental is a 10-minute walk to the Four Seasons George V or Plaza Athenee Hotel where the final episode of ‘Sex and the City’ was filmed. Relax in either for tea or 3-star dining after a hard day of shopping. You will appreciate even more our Paris luxury apartment rental with unforgettable views when you check the prices of their rooms!

  • Our Paris apartment rental is a 10-minute walk to the Grand Couturiers on Ave Montaigne - from Dior to Chanel, to Hermes, Givenchy, Valentino, Bonpoint, Ungaro, Ynes de la Fressange, Loewe, Bulgari, Ferragamo, Max Mara, Scherrer, Jimmy Choo, to the outrageous Jean-Paul Gaultier and many, many more. Please see our link on Paris Shopping for more details.

  • Our Paris apartment rental is a stone’s throw to the Seine and the famous Bateau Mouche boat tours.

  • Rue du Commerce, a lively French neighborhood near La Motte Piquet métro, is a 10-minute walk from our Paris apartment rental. Find excellent fresh foods, loads of clothing stores, and perfume shops, as well as the Monoprix department store (a French Target), with a supermarket on the first floor - good quality and great prices!

  • Pont de l'Alma, the largest open market in Paris and open every Wednesday and Saturday morning, is a five-minute walk from our Paris apartment rental.
Ave de Saxe is open on Thursday and Saturdays and features undoubtedly some of the most beautiful organic and deluxe food stands in Paris.
Rue de Grenelle, open on Wednesdays and Sundays, has excellent prices and is located a few minute’s walk from our Paris apartment rental, in the 15th arrondissement (across and left of Champs de Mars).

  • Rue Cler is six blocks away from our Paris apartment rental, among the best and most famous streets for food in Paris; open every day including Sunday morning but many shops are closed on Mondays. Our favorite cheese merchant is here; tell them which day you wish to eat it and they will hand pick the perfect selection!

  • One block to the Eiffel Tower and the gardens of Champ de Mars, a rare bonus in Paris as there are few large parks where you can walk, run, play in one of three playgrounds, enjoy the basketball court, go to the puppet theater, rent bikes and skates nearby, or just sit and enjoy. This is especially attractive on sunny days, when you can simply walk in the park or picnic on the grass and savor your moments in Paris.

  • Pastis

The Eiffel Tower is directly across the street from our Pastis rental!
The Pastis is a compact studio located on the ground floor of a haussmanian building; step out the front door and there she is, La Grand Dame de Paris rising up in all her glory. Our guests can't believe how close they are to the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars gardens.

Turn right and find the Seine only a block and a half away. Turn left and you'll find an exceptional patisserie on the corner for your morning croissants, delicious lunch, or Parisian desserts. There's even a café on the opposite corner and small grocery store a few doors away. Of course, all of the delights of the 7th arrondissement, the open markets, shops, restaurants, bistros, and famous rue Cler open market are nearby for your enjoyment of la vie Parisienne.

  • Pastis

Fully-equipped studio in the heart of Paris
Punch in the secure digi-code to the outside doors of the building. Another security door is located just inside. Just beyond is the doorway to the Pastis apartment. When you first enter our Pastis holiday rental in Paris you are struck by the pleasing arrangement of furniture and colorful appointments that greet your eye. On your left is an antique black marble fireplace (decorative only) and to the right is the convertible sofa and coffee table. The thirteen-foot ceilings give a wonderful feeling of space and light, and the attractive lighting fixtures and elegant prints provide a warm touch.

The ladder just beyond the fireplace raises your eyes to the mezzanine above the room where you'll find a quality, queen-size bed. Further back on the left is the kitchen, and behind the dining table is the bathroom.

  • Pastis

Our Paris studio rental has been designed to maximise space
Pastis may seem a bit small when you first walk in, but this Paris apartment is so much more. The comfortable queen bed on the mezzanine above the dining nook frees up a ton of floor space and, along with this convertible double sofa, there is plenty of room to comfortably sleep three. It is less than you would pay for a tiny hotel room and, with a fully appointed living room, kitchen and bathroom, there is no compromising on amenities. And, as a rare plus, we have installed a large mobile air conditioner for those warm days or nights in Paris. There's also a spacious storage closet to the right of the sofa for your belongings.

  • Pastis

Dining nook features a marble bistro table and four chairs
The dining nook features a marble bistro table and four leather chairs. A charming circular mirror above the table adds a bit of light and space, and the rooster painting on the wall represents a symbol of France to remind you that you really are in Paris (and to save you the trouble of actually pinching yourself!). Our guests tell us that one of the best parts of their visit is shopping the open markets and preparing their own French cuisine to enjoy in their new home, and Pastis is surrounded by open markets.

  • Pastis

Sofa flips open to make a comfortable double bed
We design all of our apartments for maximum comfort. The sofa was made for us in Italy and it flips open to make a double bed. No cushions to remove or position, just push the back forward and voilà, your bed for the night!

  • Pastis

Rabbit hooks are charming and practical for your coats
We found these double rabbit hooks in Belgium. They are charming and practical for your coats and jackets. Most apartments and hotels never have enough hooks, so we are careful to install plenty.

  • Pastis

Desk provides a great spot to access our free internet
The antique-style writing desk sits below four windows framed in silk curtains. The apartment has free, high-speed internet line so you can catch up on your emails or research ideas for your next day in Paris .

The windows open onto the building's inner courtyard and we have installed sanded glass panels on the windows for privacy. The courtyard is similar to most Paris courtyards and doesn’t offer any special views. The price compares favorably to similar Paris apartments or tiny Paris hotel rooms with the added benefit of a great Paris location, a kitchen, living and dining area.

  • Pastis

Apartment has cable TV, DVD player and a CD stereo system
For your entertainment, find a flat-screen TV and dual-standard DVD player so you can bring your favorite movies or rent French ones nearby. We have installed cable so you can watch CNN, CNBC, etc. There is also a CD stereo, so bring your favorite music to play or choose from a small selection that we provide. Our Paris holiday rental also features high-speed ADSL Internet access so you can download your emails and stay in touch with family and friends.

  • Pastis

High ceilings give a wonderful feeling of space
The ceilings are so high that there was room for this enormous old mirror and still more room above it. This romantic apartment is delightful for two or three people; unquestionably the best location in Paris and all the comforts you will need for your stay.

  • Pastis

The queen-sized mattress on the mezzanine
The mezzanine is an engineering marvel and provides an attractive loft for the queen-size mattress. There is plenty of headroom so you can sit in bed and read or relax at the end of a long day of sightseeing. We've installed individually controlled lights behind the bed and a high-quality mattress to ensure a good night's sleep. As in all of our apartments, we complement the bed with high-quality linens, pillows, and bedspread.

  • Pastis

Kitchen is fully-equipped; it even has an espresso maker!
Step into the kitchen and find a window on the left that looks out on the courtyard. The high ceilings and décor give the entire apartment a light and airy feel, and the excellent lighting in the kitchen is an important touch.

The kitchen has been supplied with every convenience imaginable, to include combination microwave-oven, two-burner stove top, below-counter refrigerator with freezer, toaster, coffee maker, and espresso maker. You'll also find a full array of stainless steel cookware and white porcelain dishes from Dehillerin, the company that supplies the finest restaurants in Paris.

Having a kitchen and dining area are among the many advantages of staying in a Paris apartment rental, as you don't have to go out for every meal. Enjoy eating with family and friends without having to get dressed up every evening. The French have mastered the art of ready-prepared dishes and foods, so you don't even have to cook to enjoy great French cuisine. Children (and adults alike) love buying fresh warm croissants at the patisserie each morning, or choosing a special dessert after lunch or dinner. Our guests tell us that shopping for croissants and desserts is the best part of their children's visit!

An old French wine press sits above the kitchen cupboards
The top of an old wooden wine press vice sits above the cupboards in the kitchen, in elegant contrast to the modern design and appliances.

  • Pastis

Remodeled bathroom with shower, toilet and sink
The bathroom of our holiday rental in Paris has been totally remodeled and upgraded with a glass-enclosed shower, toilet, sink, and decorative lighting. We installed glass shelves next to the shower as well as a mirrored vanity cabinet above the sink to provide extra storage room. We provide the very best linens and towels plus designer soaps for the bath.

  • Pastis

Simply walk out your front door, cross the street, and relax on a bench as you gaze up at what every visitor to Paris comes to see, the magical light show on the Eiffel Tower. No cab rides...no long walks...just a hop and a skip from your cozy little nest across the street.

  • Pastis

Champ de Mars gardens is literally on your doorstep
The Champs de Mars gardens surrounds the Eiffel Tower and is across the street from our Pastis holiday rental in Paris. It has several playgrounds, bike rental, mini-car tracks set up for kids, and a puppet theater. • Pastis

Enjoy a coffee at one of the charming neighborhood cafés
Enjoy a light meal or coffee at one of the many the charming cafés in the neighborhood. Parisians love to stop here for a quick bite or 'pick me up' during their day, to catch up on the news or meet friends and to people watch.

  • Pastis

Buy your cheese from one of our favorite merchants
Buy a selection of the best cheese, wine, salad and a fresh warm baguette for dinner.

  • Pastis

Buy fresh seafood daily from the nearby open air markets
The four open markets around the 7th are flourishing thanks to the Parisians who still live in the neighborhood and who shop here. There are more open markets within walking distance of the 7th arrondissement than any other neighborhood in Paris and each one is unique. Growers, fishermen and small producers drive in from the countryside at the crack of dawn to set up and sell their fresh fish, fruit, vegetables, flowers and produce to discerning Parisians.

  • Pastis

Fresh flowers from the famous rue Cler market street
You'll spot many beautiful flowers artfully arranged in the open markets and flower shops dotted around the neighborhood and especially on rue Cler, which is a short walk from our Pastis holiday rental. You'll want to be sure to pick some up as a centerpiece for your dining table or simply to spread a little fragrance and color about. Just as plentiful are wine and cheese shops, stores selling chocolate, and just about anything else you could want.

  • Pastis

Pastis holiday rental is surrounded by quality patisseries
Pastry is a passion here and you'll find a number of excellent patisseries within a few blocks of our Pastis holiday rental in Paris, close enough to pop out every morning so you can surprise your house mates with mouth-watering temptations. Children especially love to pick out their own desserts and no meal in Paris is complete without freshly baked baguettes.

I had a most comfortable stay in the Pastis. It suited my needs and had everything in it I required. It also gave me a sense of security which was important to me. What a wonderful location to buses, trains and the Eiffel Tower.
