“We stayed in lovely Sancerre on rue St. Dominique for the week of Valentine's Day, 2009. The apartment was exactly as it was represented on the Paris Perfect website. It was fully furnished and the kitchen was wonderfully equipped. Lovely, light-filled Sancerre was spotlessly clean, and located mere steps to the bus stop. From the first time we contacted Paris Perfect, to the last time we closed the door to Sancerre, we had a top-notch, worry-free experience. We happily ate our way through the provided list list of "Top 5/6" restaurant recomendations-and had nothing but fabuous food and impecable service at each cafe. Victor's taxi service to/from CDG proved to be worth every Euro-he was prompt & helpful. Did I mention the fabulous view of la Tour Eiffel as she twinkled and sparkled her way thru the night? Paris is notorious for small hotel rooms, but why stay in a cramped room when you can have your very "own" apartment??? It is so rare to find a company that delivers on its promises; Paris Perfect did that and more. They provided a beautiful, spotless apartment in Paris, greeted us upon arrival, made us feel welcome, and thanked us when we returned home! Thanks to the entire Paris Perfect Team. I think I am in love...a bientot.”

On Your Doorstep
- The location is one of the best in Paris: 3-minute walk to the river; 15 minutes to the Invalides; 10 minutes to the Trocadéro; the Grand Palais and the couturier's on Ave. Montaigne, the Four Seasons George V for tea or 3-star dining; 15-minute walk to the Champs Elysées; 20-minute walk to Place de la Concorde and the Bon Marché department store.

Pont de l'Alma is a five-minutes walk and has the largest open market in Paris every Saturday morning. Merchants come from the country with wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, pâtés, breads, even five types of escargots!

Situated in the 7th arrondissement, on the left bank of the river Seine, this beautiful Paris apartment is in one of the nicest neighborhoods. This Paris apartment rental is across the street from the Eiffel Tower, from four playgrounds, a few blocks to the romantic Seine river and near to restaurants that Parisians go to, near to fashion shops, pastry shops and wonderful market streets - all the things that make a renting a Paris apartment for your vacation in Paris just perfect.
Imagine a stunning 180 degree view from the balcony that wraps around the perimeter of our Sancerre apartment rental in Paris. Step out onto the apartment's balcony and gaze over the Paris skyline, from the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars Gardens, to the top of the dome of the Invalides - our vacation rental guests cannot believe it. The wrap-around balcony is only one of the many striking features of this lovely, Parisian apartment rental. With two bedrooms, two baths and air conditioning so you can enjoy the best view in style and comfort on your vacation in Paris.
Our Sancerre Paris apartment rental measures 800 square feet and has seven sets of French doors leading to the balcony overlooking Paris; a memory of a lifetime for your vacation in Paris. The view is stupendous: a straight-on view of La Grande Dame de Paris: the Eiffel Tower, and the Champ de Mars Park, as well as onto the charming neighborhood below. The Sancerre Paris vacation rental is on the fifth floor (sixth floor American and with elevator), the most desirable floors in paris, with a balcony and faces west, bathing the apartment in soft light and sunshine. Elegantly furnished, newly redecorated, it offers our rental guests warmth and elegance for an unforgettable stay in Paris.
Enter this delightful Parisian apartment to a large entryway with an antique dresser on your left and two separate wc's (water closet to the British, private toilet to Americans!) on your right. It's rare for Paris apartments to have two WC's and we made sure to install a second one.
There is a closet in the entryway, providing ample storage for luggage.
The first bathroom of our Paris apartment is straight ahead and has been tiled in beige and red marble. It has a bathtub/shower with glass partition (not shown in photograph) sink, lots of hooks for hanging towels and toilet kits. It is a nice size and practical because of its independent access from the main hallway.
Continue down the corridor to the master bedroom. This is a sunny, west-facing room with a new queen-size bed, original white marble fireplace, and antique armoire. The bedroom of the Sancerre apartment rental in has a pair of French doors that leads to the wrap-around balcony, overlooking one of the best neighborhoods in Paris. You can sip your espresso and read the Herald Tribune newspaper on the balcony's small bistro table in the morning (an excellent patisserie is literally across the street), enjoying the view over the quartier's rooftops, including the dome of the Invalides in the distance.
Storage in the master bedroom is very good, with a built-in closet in addition to the armoire. The bedroom leads to the master bath of the apartment, which has been tiled in rose marble and has a bathtub/shower and sink. Lots of hooks and a heated towel rail - it is a comfortable and spacious bathroom by Parisian standards. Another pair of French doors leads onto the balcony.
Continue down the hallway to the second bedroom of our Paris apartment rental, on your left. This is a charming room, decorated in French Provençal-style, with elegant blue Toile de Jouy fabric bedspreads on twin beds. Built-in closets mean good storage along with bookshelves and a dresser. Both bedrooms have the same special features of French doors and balcony, making it easy for two couples to make equitable choices of bedroom accommodations.
An important note: all of the windows are state-of-the-art double glazed, the same as used in luxury hotels. The apartment is located in the middle of this bustling city, but is extremely quiet for a good night's sleep.
You find the kitchen on the right, off the main hallway of the apartment, as you head towards the living and dining room. This is a large kitchen by Parisian standards, with double sinks, microwave/convection oven combination, large refrigerator/freezer, four-burner cook top, toaster, coffee pot, electric teapot, and a Nespresso maker, for real style. The washer/dryer is top-of-the-line by Miele, as is the Leifheit refrigerator. The cabinets are made of limed oak with classic twisted iron handles from France. We have provided all of the cooking and serving accessories you need with restaurant-quality pots and pans. The white porcelain dishes are from E. Dehellerin in Paris, the shop which furnishes all good restaurants. With a full array of cookware, you can shop the local open markets and shops to prepare your own gourmet meals.
The piece de resistance is the spacious living and dining room of the apartment, straight ahead. This is a much-coveted corner apartment on a high floor and there are four pairs of French doors which lead onto the balcony to stunning views of the Eiffel Tower, gardens of the Champ de Mars, and Parisian life below.
We had a special treat last July, when we were able to watch the Tour de France race by from the balcony, to celebrate its 100th anniversary. In September, we watched the men's and women's Paris marathons run by; it was a thrill to cheer them on. We even managed to photograph the first group of runners, seen under 'More Photographs'.
On the balcony of our Sancerre apartment rental, there is a round marble bistro table and chairs which face the Eiffel Tower and overlook Paris. Enjoy croissants and café au lait each morning, or toast the sunset in the evening. At www.parisperfect.com, we believe that a crucial element of your stay in Paris is to be able to enjoy this kind of view - whether for the first or fiftieth time. We want you to sit and watch the day unfold below: parents taking children to school; people buying their morning and evening baguettes, coming back from the market with their shopping baskets full, or joining friends for an espresso in the café on the corner. We believe that a great view is an important factor to a wonderful stay in Paris, whether it's for your first or fiftieth time. It is extremely difficult to find these kinds of apartments; we say they must have the 'Wow!' factor when you walk in the door. As a result, our selection is small, but we are uncompromising in our standards.
As seen in the photographs, the dining area is on the right as you enter the living area, with a beech wood table which expands to seat six. The white marble fireplace and mirror are original and add a feeling of coziness to the room. We think this is one of the most romantic and dramatic tables from which to dine in Paris, as you can view the Eiffel Tower and its magic show of lights every hour, listening to your favorite music on the stereo.
A small desk with tall lamps sits between two French doors, which means you can work while enjoying the view of the trees in the Champ de Mars Gardens.
On the left of this spacious room is the living area, with sofa bed and armchairs for relaxing after a hard day of walking. The empire-style sofa bed was made for us and we find it more practical and comfortable for guests than traditional sofa beds. It is over two meters long and actually has a twin mattress for the sofa seat, plus a twin trundle which pulls out from underneath. The mattresses are on wooden slats, meaning good support at sleeping and sitting. They are good for sitting on, for taking naps, or to convert to comfortable beds at night.
A large antique chest of drawers and mirror reflect the period of this beautiful apartment and contrast with the modern coffee table and accessories. A touch of humor to the decoration at Sancerre: we found two armor breastplates and helmets for 'Roman soldiers' which were manufactured for the Cinecitta film studios in Rome in the 1950s. We laughed when we saw them, remembering the Dolce Vita era of Cinecitta's heyday. This was where the larger-than-life productions of Ben Hur, starring Charlton Heston and Cleopatra, with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton were filmed. Somewhere among the armies of thousands of extras who played the Roman Army, you will find those two breastplates!
As with all of our apartment rentals, you will find an American-standard DVD player so you can bring your favorite films. Our stereo system includes a CD player as well, so remember to bring your most romantic music. There is free access to a wireless adsl line for your computer, with secure password.

“We have just returned from our first trip to Paris and we can't say enough good things about our experience with renting from Paris Perfect. They have thought of everything! The information about the neighborhood, shopping, restaurants, transporation, sightseeing, etc. were all on target and extremely helpful. We stayed in both Montrachet and Sancerre apts. and found both to be just as the website shows them. They were clean, charming, and extremely comfortable. Cassandra was professional, very pleasant, and patient in her introductions and with our questions. I would recommend Paris Perfect to anyone wanting an apartment rental in Paris- and hope to return again. Nell and Bob Seegers Oct. 9 - 16, 2008”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Sancerre apartment. The view of the Eiffel tower and the location made it the perfect stay for our family. Our daughter loved going to the playgrounds in Champ de Mars and the stores at Rue Clerc. The apt was well stocked and maintained with a very personal service from the staff. They really made the extra step to make our stay in Paris enjoyable. We felt as if we had been living there for a while! Thank you for making our vacation so enjoyable!”

“Its been 2 years since my last visit to Paris, when my friend and I stayed in the gorgeous Sancerre apartment. And even though I have traveled since, my heart still yearns for another experience in a Paris Perfect apartment. In the past I've been to Paris on ten other occassions but none has compared to the week at the Sancerre. The location was perfect and allowed me to feel like a native and not a tourist. Local markets were fun to shop in, as we chose to cook on several evenings during our stay. The local grocers were helpful in helping us pair up cheeses with wine. Our evenings were spent watching the beautiful Eiffel Tower glimmer on the hour for 10 minutes a time. The view was incredible. My friend, a triathlete, was able to run along the Seine every morning before breakfast and she delighted in the scenary. Overall, our experience was unforgettable! I can't wait to return! Thank you Madelyn, Philip and Carolyn.
Sincerely,
Linda Bruno”

“We very much enjoyed our apartment -- Sancerre. The apartment was very light and a joy. It had a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower, the nearby park, and the neighborhood. The neighborhood is fun, full of convenient shops and great restaurants.
Philippe, Madelyn provide very thorough instructions and the "sign-up" process works smoothly as does the arrival process. Their on-the-ground manager, Carolyn, is first-class and very helpful. These people are all very professional. Paris-Perfect is the real deal.”

“My wife, myself and my two teenage boys stayed at the Sancerre apartment from December 16 through 23, 2005. Of course, the first thing we did upon arriving at the apartment was to confirm the view depicted on the website. As advertised - the Eiffel Tower in all its glory. I can't even imagine what one would pay for such a view in a comparable Paris hotel. At night it gets even better. The Tower, when fully lit, is indescribable, and every hour you are treated to the world's greatest light show. I'm forever spoiled.
The apartment itself is immaculate and of the highest quality. I often read posts from people who minimize the importance of their travel accommodations with statements such as, "We're only going to sleep there." I think this ignores the reality of travel. Coming back to the Sancerre in the late afternoon or early evening after a full day of walking and siteseeing was both soothing and re-invigorating. Staying in a tiny, cramped hotel room simply can't compete.
And I cannot say enough about the neighborhood. We immediately immersed ourselve in the scene - shopping for our breakfast with the locals. Everything one need's is virtually next door or across the street. I wish I had such convenience - and quality - at home.
ParisPerfect delivers exactly what it promises. Thanks to Madelyn and Philippe for the grace and ease with which they make it all possible.”

“What can we say, Paris Perfect is absolutely PERFECT!! We spent a marvelous week in the Sancerre apartment with three of us couples (best friends in education) enjoying the view, neighborhood, and conveniences of your awesomely furnished and appointed apartment. Thanks to Madelyn and Phillipe for their vision of what us "ugly Americans" need to finally make us acculturate to the true "Parisian lifestyle".
Having spent 3 previous trips in hotels in the Rue Cler area, this was definitely our next progression into truly becoming residents for the week. Because of the view (a brilliantly lit-up tower at night) and the comfort of the neighborhood we spent 6 of 7 nights cooking like the natives! Shopping at the local markets (Rue Cler markets, Picard frozen foods, boulangerie across the street, and the boucherie next door) and preparing our own gourmet feasts was a definite highlight.
Thanks again, we will be back to Paris Perfect our next trip to this marvelous city!

“Our family with 3 young children visited Paris in January 2005 and stayed in the Sancerre apartment. The location was absolutely fabulous and central to all the sites of Paris. The views were spectacular towards the Eiffel Tower and we loved sitting at the dining table watching the light show each night. We especially loved the rue Cler markets and most delicious food shops in this area. It made us feel like we were actually living as Parisians in our apartment and strolling down each morning to rue St Dominique for our morning coffee and baguettes. It certainly was an educational experience for our young children and one I can thoroughly recommend for any visitor wishing to experience the "Parisian" way of life rather than staying in a tourist hotel. The decor and the little touches throughout the apartment were appreciated and most enjoyed.
We hope to return again soon.

“My daughter and I just returned from your wonderful Sancerre apartment. Very spacious with every amenity we could possibly require. Comfortable beds, fabulous linens and comforters and the view of the Eiffel Tower was outstanding. Our kitchen was large enough for two people to work at the same time. Loved having cafe from our Nepresso machine each morning. The welcome basket was an added treat and was appreciated after a long flight. Was a wonderful experience to feel like we were true "Parisians" if only for a few days.
When we received your e-mail advising us of a cooking class being offered by Christian Constant, owner and chef of Le Violon d'Ingres, we decided to sign up for the class. But on the morning it was scheduled, we were apprehensive to take a whole day away from shopping and sightseeing to spend in a kitchen. However, we did decide to take Christian's class and it was absolutely fabulous and the highlight of our trip to Paris. With aprons on, nine of us headed into his kitchen. While his wife, Catherine, interpreted, we were given cooking instructions with lots of hands on time preparing soup, vegetables, meat and a wonderful dessert. Within minutes we were all friends learning helpful and informative cooking tips. Christian answered our many questions and the sampling of what he prepared was a real treat. After a morning of cooking and a toast with wine for the work we had done, we then walked to his other restaurant, Les Fables de la Fontaine, just a few doors away, and sat down as a group for a wonderful luncheon. With great wine and conversation flowing, Christian personally signed his current cookbook for us all. This experience was a "once in a lifetime" and if you have an opportunity we highly recommend you take this class. You will not regret it.
It was wonderful to meet Madelyn. She knows how to make strangers feel welcome in Paris. Madelyn, thanks for the advice to buy the paves at Michel Chaudun. They are the best!
I am already planning my next trip to Paris and will be contacting you soon for another visit to Paris Perfect.

“22 November 2004
My wife, another couple, and I have just returned to the States after spending eight nights in the Sancerre apartment in the 7th. The Sancerre is a lovely apartment, with French doors leading from each of the bedrooms and the living and dining areas onto a wrap-around balcony overlooking either Rue St. Dominique or Avenue Rapp. The apartment is tastefully furnished; the rooms are spacious and comfortable; and the location is ideal, convenient to the Metro as well as within walking distance of Les Invalides, the Rodin Museum, and the Eiffel Tower. The view of the Eiffel Tower from the apartment is incredible, whether in daylight or as thousands of tiny lights twinkle at night.
We recommend this apartment, whether you are a first-time visitor to Paris or an experienced one. Philippe and Madelyn are cooperative and pleasant in making arrangements, and they provide excellent information about the quartier. In our experience the apartment is an exceedingly cost-effective alternative to staying in a hotel, and it enabled us to get the "feel" of living in Paris.”
William Stohler - Monday, November 22nd 2004
“Six of my girlfriends and I treated ourselves to 60th birthday gifts to ourselves and spent 8 nights in Provence and 8 nights in Paris. In Paris 5 of us were in the Sancerre and 2 in the Champagane. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH FABULOUS WORDS ABOUT THE APARTMENTS AND THE PARIS PERFECT PEOPLE. I had started emailing Madelyn perhaps 3 years ago!! She was always very prompt and informative in her responses. The reservations and payment were all very seamless. Philippe made sure we had the information we needed and guided us through that process. One would never have to worry about booking online with Paris Perfect. Both apartments were as shown on the website and then exceeded our expectations!!! They were both spectacular!! The Tour Eiffel outside our dining room window was so close we felt we could touch it. We were entranced with the "Grande Dame" from the time we would wake up and come out to the dining room for coffee and then again when "She" was "sparkling" at night. We hated to close the shutters and windows to go to bed at night!
I was slightly concerned about 5 women with 2 baths and 1 WC with everyone getting ready to start our day in the morning. However, we all worked very well together and never had a problem. There were beautiful LARGE mirrors in both the foyer and living room of the Sancerre to put makeup on and also blow dry hair after showering if another was in the bathroom. Every single detail has been well thought out! The apartment contained lots of storage in beautiful antique chests outside of the bedrooms and large well designed closets or beautiful armoires in the bedrooms. The "Yellow Bible" of information didn't miss anything! We used everything in the apartment very easily! The Nepresso machine was such a treat for me!
The neighborhood of both the Sancerre and Champagne is WONDERFUL! The next time I'm in Paris at a Paris Perfect apartment, I'd like to just immerse myself deeply in the immediate area. Rue St. Dominique and Rue de Grenelle (and lots of other streets in the area) have wonderful boulangeries, traiteurs, fleurists, bistros, a fabulous coffee store, cafes, etc., etc. I wouldn't need to travel too far for anything and steeping myself in the area would be delightful!
I know I'm speaking for our group of 7 women when I say that our expectations were totally exceeded and we would all stay in these two apartments (or any of the others) in a heartbeat! However, the 2 1/2 weeks we were in Provence and Paris, the temperatures were in the high 80's to mid-90's with major humidity -- our next trip will definitely be in April/May or September/October. There were many days that we faded very early from the heat which, fortunately, left many things for us to see and do on the next trip!!!
Merci beaucoup and kudos to Philippe, Madelyn, Carolyn, and Sarah for making this dream trip a reality in a most seamless, fabulous manner.
