This spacious apartment is located on the 6th floor (7th American, with elevator) of a 1930s building, just around the corner from beautiful Ave de la Bourdonnais and only a block from the Eiffel Tower and its gardens. It features a large balcony, four bedrooms, and two baths, easily accommodating eight people in light-filled luxury.

Terrace is Outside the Family Room and Master Bedroom
Having a large balcony in an apartment in Paris is a rare amenity that allows you to sit out and savor the glorious views not only of the Eiffel Tower, La Grande Dame de Paris, but also the Sacré Coeur and even the Arc de Triomphe across the river Seine. And these truly amazing views can be seen directly from the living room, dining room, family room, and master bedroom as well. From the high vantage point this apartment in Paris offers, you can't help but feel that you're hovering above the city with nothing to obstruct your views. Your morning café au lait and croissants, toasting the Eiffel Tower with a glass of wine when it lights up at night, even reading a good book as you soak in the sun - every time you step out to enjoy the fresh air and views you'll have a memory to savor for a lifetime.

This is your view from the dining table at the Tokay apartment in Paris. It is one of the most incredible views in the world and you have the chance to enjoy it morning, noon and during the magic light show at night!

Entryway with Original Hardwood Floor and African Artefacts
The entryway in the Tokay Paris apartment has coat hooks on your right and a Chinese cabinet just beyond filled with African artefacts. The owners furnished it with an eclectic mix of African art, oriental rugs, modern Italian furniture and French furniture.

The double doors on your left are the entrance to the living room and dining room. Straight ahead is the Family Room/Bedroom 4. The first door on your right is a storage closet with washer and dryer. Second door is the powder room with toilet and sink. The last door on the right leads to the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms.

Unusual Decorations Add Character to the Apartment
This Paris apartment was named 'Tokay' after what is considered to be one of the fine wines of the world. Known as the wine of emperors, kings, and cardinals, Tokay is a sweet desert wine that stays fresh almost forever once it has been bottled. Once you step into this apartment in Paris, you can't help but agree that this is one sweet perch that will never lose its appeal. The strongest point is the view of the Eiffel Tower from the living room, dining room, den, master bedroom and the oversized balcony that fronts both the family room (and 4th bedroom) and the master bedroom. In addition, there are three mobile air conditioners for your added comfort on those warm days.

Spacious Living Room has Views of the Eiffel Tower
The spacious living room of the Tokay apartment in Paris is eclectic and colorful. The sun streams in through the large French doors that offer views over the rooftops and the Eiffel Tower just a few blocks away. Wood paneling accentuates the refinished oak parquet floor and focuses attention on the large and elaborate fireplace on the left wall that is topped with an oversized mirror. This room is outfitted with lightweight but comfortably upholstered furniture. Arranged around an oversized, glass-topped coffee table on a richly colored oriental rug, this is a nice setting for everyone to gather and plan their next day's itinerary.

Family Room has Cable TV and Dual Standard DVD Player
You'll find a flat-screen TV and a DVD player in the family room on top of a Chinese-style cabinet, so you can bring your favorite movies and play them while admiring the view. The owners have installed satellite so you can watch CNN, CNBC, etc. There is a stereo as well, so bring your favorite CDs or choose from a small selection that we provide.

The long oval dining table seats up to 8 for warm dinners 'en famille' at your apartment in Paris. You are only two blocks from the famous rue Cler, where you can shop for the finest foods and enjoy dinners with the best view in Paris. You are four doors away from one of my favorite Patisserie's where you'll labor over your choice for warm croissants or pains au chocolat in the morning or between numerous dessert choices in the evening.

There are also 3 open markets in the neighborhood, the most of any arrondissement in Paris and a highlight of your stay. Choose between the freshest French ingredients as your stroll the markets, from cheeses to meats to fruits, vegetables and flowers. You'll find that shopping excursions to Paris' open markets will be one of the highlights of your stay.

A very modern and stylish table and chairs is the centerpiece, with a mix of modern and period art and eclectic lighting to set the mood. You'll be able to relax and fully enjoy being with friends and relatives in your home away from home.

Paris and la vie Parisienne revolves around food, and the advantage of staying in this wonderful quartier is that there are three open markets nearby along with the famous Rue Cler. You'll be able to shop for the freshest ingredients and already prepared dishes daily and enjoy dining at home, without having to get dressed up and pay for all of your meals in restaurants. Our guests tell us that shopping for croissants and desserts from the patisserie on the corner is one of the best parts of their visit!

Fully Equipped Kitchen with Casual Dining Table
The eat-in kitchen is to the right as you go down the hallway to the back bedrooms. The round wooden table and chairs provide plenty of seating for breakfast as the sun pours in through the large French window. Preparing meals will be a joy as there is loads of counter space, tons of cupboards, and every accessory we think you might need to prepare gourmet meals. With a full-size refrigerator-freezer, large oven, microwave, four-burner stovetop, coffeepot, and toaster, you can cook to your heart's content in our Tokay apartment in Paris.

Master Bedroom has French Doors, Balcony and Eiffel Views!
The master bedroom has large French doors opening onto the expansive balcony at the front of your apartment in Paris and views of the Eiffel Tower, even as you lay in your extra-wide, queen-size bed. You won't want to close the curtains at night, so you can enjoy the special view of the Eiffel Tower lit up at night. Every hour after dark, for ten minutes thrill to the special light show, where 20,000 lights sparkle in the night on the Tower.

Plenty of Storage Space in the Master Bedroom
Two armoires or closets serve as storage in the master and a halogen uplight helps to illuminate the room. The closet on the left is for hanging and the one on the right has shelves. There are fans in the main rooms as well as portable air conditioners for those warmer days in Paris. In the corridor, the owners have hung a beautiful African carving on the wall.

Bedroom 2 with Double Bed and Air Conditioning
The second bedroom of the Tokay apartment in Paris features a queen-sized bed and views out over the Paris rooftops through a large French door. The furniture is a mixture of old and new, from the painted vanity table on the right to the white bench and oak armoire opposite. There is a low storage chest topped with cushions in front of the French door so you can better enjoy the views or perhaps snuggle up with a good book in this quiet, cozy setting.

There is a portable Air Conditioning unit for those warmer nights in Paris.

Bedroom 3 has a Large Desk, Free Internet Access and A/C
The third bedroom has twin beds and a large French window looking out over the rooftops and courtyard garden below. You'll find a large work table and free high-speed Internet access so you can download emails and work while admiring the view.

A portable Air Conditioner will keep you cool in the warmer months.

The family room can easily be transformed into a fourth bedroom at night, as the long sofa converts to two separate twin beds. We prefer these long sofas to regular hide-a-beds because you can stretch out and catnap during the day - and have two separate beds for flexibility at night. Arranged so that you can lie in bed and gaze out at the Eiffel Tower, guests will be drawing straws to see who gets to sleep here. The balcony doors in our apartment in Paris have shutters to block the light at night, but guests tell us they prefer to look out and enjoy the view until they fall asleep.

Apartment has Two Water Closets with Toilets and Sinks
Just outside the master bedroom of the Tokay apartment in Paris is the second water closet with modern toilet, sink, newly tiled floor, and a high window for natural light. This is a practical Parisian amenity, as it frees up the bathrooms for extra 'getting ready' room when everyone is preparing to go out.

The first water closet features a toilet and sink and is conveniently located at the entryway, near near all of the front rooms of the apartment.

Champs de Mars Gardens with Four Different Playgrounds
Across the street from our Tokay apartment in Paris you'll find the Champs de Mars Gardens with four different playgrounds, plus basketball court, merry go round, bicycle rentals and beautiful grass to picnic on!

The location of our Tokay apartment is a rare feature because there are few open parks in the center of Paris. The Champs de Mars gardens which surrounds the Eiffel Tower is one of them and it is literally 2 blocks away. French families have lived here for generations and on Sundays you see the grandparents who love to take their grandchildren out to the same playgrounds where they and their children played. It's a wonderful part of your vacation to come here, picnic and relax. In the mornings, you can run around them as the cadets from the Ecole Militaire do.

Delicious Pastries Just a Few Doors Away!

Now there's no excuse for not popping in to select each night's dessert, especially since you'll been out getting your exercise every day. We often hear from our guests that the highlight of their children's visit was picking out their daily treats.

Immerse Yourself in the Café Culture of Paris
No matter where you wander throughout Paris, you'll find yourself passing numerous outdoor cafés - and the neighborhood surrounding our Tokay apartment certainly has its fair share. Many local Parisians flock to these venues not only to eat and drink, but also to escape their dark apartments and enjoy the sun. Even though Tokay is bathed in sunlight, you'll certainly want to experience the ambiance and social atmosphere of this local pastime, not to mention the people watching.

Walk to the Eiffel Tower
Walk to the Eiffel Tower and simply enjoy the architectural beauty from below or run up the stairs for exercise. The Trocadéro is directly across the river, another beautiful walk...or take a longer stroll to the Musée d'Orsay, the Invalides, or the Rodin Museum.
