We named this luxurious apartment Viognier after the white wines from the Rhone valley and the Languedoc region of France. These white wines are known for their wonderful floral and citrus accents and a taste of vanilla and space when aged in oak. The Viognier couldn't be better situated in the heart of Paris, literally steps from the Eiffel Tower and beautiful Champ de Mars gardens and only one block from the Seine River. Catch a ride on the Bato bus, or the river bus and cruise down the Seine, or enjoy a romantic boat cruise on Bateaux Parisiens by candlelight at night.

Your location is one of the best in Paris and the reason it is also one of the most sought-after. With monuments, museums, shops and open-air markets nearby you'll also find an excellent choice of restaurants. There's nothing like a stroll along the Seine at sunset when the buildings and bridges of Paris turn a rosy color and cast romantic reflections across the river.

Stroll down the street from the Viognier apartment and you'll discover Village Suisse, a fabulous antique market filled with about one hundred and fifty individual shops. You'll find treasures ranging from fun souvenir of your trip to Paris to serious collector pieces while exploring all the little shops.

One of our favorite pastimes is sampling the beautiful pastries on display in one of the many patisseries in the neighborhood. Pick out something delightful to enjoy after dinner on the balcony of the Viognier while taking in those marvelous Eiffel Tower views.

Hop aboard one of the boat cruises along the Seine River for a fabulous orientation tour and chance to see the sights of Paris and cruise under the famous bridges of Paris. Located in the western wing of the Louvre you'll find the Les Arts Décoratifs museum, and inside you can visit the Musée de la Mode and see the fashion history of Paris on display in a series of lovely exhibitions.

Set in a train station built in 1900, the Musée d'Orsay is one of our favorite museums in Paris. Inside you'll find a world-class collection of 19th-century art, which was reinstalled in early 2012 after a long period of renovation. Be sure to stop by the large clock on the upper level for a beautiful view looking toward the church of Sacre Coeur on Montmartre in the distance. It's an enjoyable walk to the Orsay along the Seine, or hop on the RER or local train at the river and you're there in 3 stops.

Sit back and watch the beautifully lit buildings of Paris glide by during a night cruise along the Seine in Paris. The Musée d'Orsay is one of our favorites, especially at night against the dark night sky.

The 7th arrondissement is home to the exquisite Rodin Museum and sculpture garden. Visit the home where the great artist lived and worked for the last period of his life, and take time to stroll through the landscaped gardens filled with many of Rodin's masterpieces.

See the Place de la Concorde on the Right Bank
Cross the Seine from the Viognier apartment to the Right Bank and it's not far to the grand Place de la Concorde. Right in the center of one of Paris' busiest squares you'll spot a fountains topped by an ancient obelisk from Luxor, Egypt, which has decorated the square since the early 19th century.

The Ile de la Cité and Notre Dame cathedral is a beautiful spot to enjoy an evening stroll in Paris. Don't forget to bring you camera to capture images of the cathedral dramatically lit at night!
