Named after the elegant Volnay wines that express a red fruit bouquet along with a lovely creamy texture, our Volnay Paris apartment combines tasteful Parisian decoration with unobstructed views of the Eiffel Tower from five sets of French doors - a result that is sheer magic.

Remodeled apartment is beautifully decorated
We have carefully remodeled our 550-square-foot, one-bedroom Paris apartment to the highest standards and the result is more romantic than any hotel you could find in Paris. The living room is decorated in soft beige and cream tones, highlighted by aqua silk curtains. The theme is music, with a Florentine painted chest of drawers of musical instruments as the centerpiece. Sunlight streams through the curtains and add to the feeling of elegance and softness. We've even installed central air conditioning in our Volnay Paris apartment to ensure your total comfort.

Living room with original fireplace, flat-screen TV and DVD
The chairs face the original red marble fireplace (decorative only) on your right, with old Italian andirons flanking it. The tops of the andirons are circular in shape, to hold copper pots of soups and meat, keeping them warm in the winter.

In the far left corner is a flat screen LCD TV and a dual-standard DVD player so you can bring your favorite movies from home. Watch one of the English channel news stations, such as CNN, CNBC, or BBC. The stereo is next to the TV so you can bring your favorite music to enjoy during your stay, or connect up your MP3 player with a cable.

Comfortable sofa bed and armchairs
The high-quality sofa is over 6 feet long so you can cat nap on lazy days, an important part of your vacation! The sofa converts to two twin beds at night.

We found two comfortable armchairs at the Puces antiques market, restored and recovered them with beige fabric with white bees. We think these are perfect for relaxing at the end of a long day of shopping and site seeing. Their beautiful handmade fringe is from Houlès, a store famous for its trimmings in the decorating world. Our hunt for comfortable armchairs is never-ending as French taste often tends towards uncomfortable wooden ones. (We know we would want comfortable chairs and sofas wherever we stay and you would, too.)

Living room is much more comfortable than a Paris hotel room
The living room at night; so much more comfortable than Paris hotels, where your rooms can never offer a comfortable living room. Our guests love this room, whether for an intimate evening for two or a lively group of four.

Dining table sits underneath a modern chandelier
The glass-topped dining table comfortably seats six. A modern chandelier with white blown glass bulbs hangs above it, giving just the right modern touch to this room. This sunny room welcomes you to stay home and have dinner there. It's also practical; there is a dividing door from the hallway, one can stay up late or get up early and not disturb the others.

No Paris hotel room can offer a newly remodeled kitchen with two sets of French doors that open out to views of the Eiffel Tower and of the neighborhood below. It's special to watch a day in Paris unfold below: parents taking children to school; people buying their morning and evening baguettes, coming back from the market with their shopping baskets full, or joining friends for an espresso at the café on the corner.

Alternatively, you can pull up a chair at the gorgeous granite bar and use your laptop computer and our free wireless internet to research your next sightseeing adventure.

Remodeled kitchen is fully-equipped with modern appliances
The newly remodeled kitchen features every appliance you could wish for to prepare a feast for your stay. Find a full-sized refrigerator with freezer, toaster, microwave and oven combination, burners, Nespresso espresso-cappuccino machine, drip coffeemaker, porcelain dishes, stainless steel pots and pans, and an excellent selection of accessories and serving dishes.

Some of our guests love to cook and stock the refrigerator and freezer with delicacies they find at the nearby open markets. Others love the idea of eating out in favorite local restaurants (we provide you with a long list of recommendations when you reserve). Either way, you will find everything from champagne glasses to casserole dishes!

Romantic bedroom in beautiful French provençal style
Walk into our Volnay apartment to the bedroom in front of you. This romantic room in beautiful French Provençal style has an extra-wide, high-quality queen-sized bed, French doors, and a view towards the Champ de Mars gardens. If you gaze to your right, you will be able to see the Eiffel Tower.

Charming antique headboards
We found these charming antique headboards in a small town in Italy; they are made of cast iron, finished to resemble wood with mother of pearl inlay. They were originally meant for twin beds, but we combined them behind our new queen-sized bed. The bed is actually larger than a queen, measuring 63" wide x 82" long rather than the American-sized 60" w x 80" long.

Floor to ceiling closets on the left and an antique chest of drawers provide plenty of storage. There is also a small desk to work at, with free wireless internet. Or, enjoy a café au lait in bed and watch the view. This beats a hotel room in Paris any day!

The smallest detail matters to us

Sofa easily converts to two, comfortable single beds
For less than the price of two modest hotel rooms in Paris, you can comfortably sleep four people in our Volnay apartment. Simply roll the trundle bed out from underneath the sofa and voilà, a perfect bed! Italian design is remarkable; you pull up on a bar and the trundle rises to bed height.

Across the hallway from the living room is the bathroom; perfect for a couple or group of four. Tiled in beige Botticcino marble from Italy with full-sized bathtub-shower, double sinks, good lighting, and a Miéle washer and dryer. We use the largest hot water tanks available for residential use, 80 gallons and have installed both fixed (not shown, but on the left behind the wall) and flexible shower heads.

This room was originally the kitchen; and, under the window, you can still see the cupboard that sticks into the airshaft, where families in the 1800's stored their fresh foods before the age of the refrigerator.

Separate toilet provides extra 'getting ready' room
The WC (toilet room) has our favorite Italian marble on the walls. The small sink, cupboard, and hooks mean extra 'getting ready' room for four people.

Beautiful apartment building in the 7th arrondissement

Walk to the Champ de Mars park in less than two minutes!
Having such a large park so close is a rare amenity in Paris as there are few large open green spaces near most Paris short-term apartment rentals. Champ de Mars has four different playgrounds, a bike rental, mini-car tracks set up for kids to pedal around, and even a puppet theater to keep them entertained. It's also great for taking a leisurely stroll after dinner and maybe join the crowd below the Eiffel Tower when it first lights up in the evening.

Apartment is a short, five-minute walk from the Seine River
Stroll to the Seine river and enjoy incredible views at sunset. Walk to the Musee' d'Orsay, Grand Palais, Palais Chaillot, Louvre, or hop on the RER to go direct to Notre Dame.

Dine out at one of the many sidewalk cafes or restaurants
One of the real pleasures of staying in a Paris Perfect apartment in the 7th arrondissement is that you never have to take a cab or use public transportation when you choose to dine out. From the casual fare offered at sidewalk cafes to truly fine dining, it's all available just outside your door.
