Description of our apartment rental in Paris

Our two-bedroom, one-bath Chambertin Paris apartment rental easily sleeps five people in a richly decorated and comfortably furnished ground-floor apartment rental in Paris that opens onto a large private garden. The look and feel so emulates Parisian living that we named it Chambertin after Napoleon’s favorite wine, the deep red, full-flavored Burgundy that accompanied him on every campaign. Like the wine, this apartment provides the full flavor of living in a Paris apartment with its spacious, light-filled rooms, and its large private garden and a taste of country living. Located only two blocks from the Seine and one block from the Eiffel Tower and the gardens of Park de Champ de Mars, it sits behind elegant, tree-lined Ave de la Bourdonnais — a most sought-after address — it boasts Princess Caroline of Monaco and other famous actors and personalities as neighbors. Renting an apartment in Paris’ 7th arrondissement is a special treat, as you are immersed in cafés, shops, restaurants, and open markets, and you’re close to local transportation and many important sightseeing attractions.

Step into this luxurious apartment rental in Paris and it’s easy to see why it has been featured in a popular French decorating magazine. Before you is the dining room featuring a long and narrow Swedish wooden dining table below a candled chandelier. Elegant wood and cane chairs surround the table, which is set before a large fireplace (decorative only) topped with a large mirror. Straight ahead are large French doors leading to the private garden, and to the left is the spacious living room, framed by a large open doorway set between two waist-high walls that further enhance the feeling of space. Beautifully refinished oak parquet floors can be found here and throughout this apartment rental in Paris, and there is a large array of floor and table lamps in every room for evening lighting.

Step through the doorway into the Paris apartment rental living room to find a comfortable seating area with a large couch, stuffed armchair, coffee table, and patterned rug, all set before a large window overlooking your garden. We’ve framed all of the windows and the doors to the garden with floor to ceiling silk curtains for privacy, beauty, and elegance. Behind the couch and set before a second large window overlooking the garden is a beautiful antique table where you can work on your computer, as free Internet service is provided. A beautiful bow-front chest sits between the two windows, topped by a large ornately framed mirror, and on the opposite wall is an oversize antique cabinet. There is a large flat-screen TV with dual-standard DVD player, so be sure to bring your favorite movies to watch, and a CD stereo so you can listen in your favorite music as well. The overall effect of the living room and dining room is a charming country setting accented with robust antiques and peaceful garden views. Sitting in this apartment rental in Paris, it’s hard to believe you’re not in the country!

The master bedroom of our apartment rental in Paris sits behind the far wall of the living room and can be accessed via a door off the living room as well as through a door from the access hallway running the length of the apartment. This large room features an extra-wide queen-size bed framed in charming white metal, a large antique armoire, and a large window overlooking the garden. Two antique bedside tables with lamps allow for comfortable reading in bed at night. You can also count on getting a great night’s sleep because we use only the highest quality mattresses available with the best high thread-count linens we can buy. Besides providing our guests with a great location and superb amenities in our Paris luxury apartment rentals, we want them to be fully rested so they can take full advantage of all Paris has to offer.

Step right from the apartment rental’s master bedroom to the master bathroom which has two porcelain pedestal sinks, a full-size tub, and a separate shower. We’ve carefully decorated this large bathroom to maintain the country feel of this apartment rental in Paris. In addition to the exposed white porcelain tub, we’ve used white wrought iron for the shelving, towel racks, and twin decorative mirrors over the sinks. And we provide plenty of plush white towels for your use after a long soak in the tub. You will also find a stacking washer and separate dryer in this room, an added convenience when you rent one of our apartment rentals in Paris.

Back to the apartment rental in Paris entryway and turn right into the second bedroom. It is unusually large and can also be accessed through French doors off the dining room. The apartment rental second bedroom features three large windows for loads of natural light, a fireplace (decorative only), two twin beds with fancy brass and white metal foot and headboards, and two comfortable armchairs. For your comfort there are fans in every room, and we have also installed portable air conditioners in the two bedrooms. But this apartment rental in the heart of Paris is unique and the private garden provides excellent ventilation all day and night. At night you can close the slatted metal shutters at night and have excellent ventilation along with good security.

The long hallway of the apartment means that all of the rooms can be accessed separately. This was a tradition 200 years ago, so servants could clean and cook and not disturb the owners. For an apartment rental in Paris, it’s an asset we’ve put to good use. It divides the kitchen and bathrooms from the front rooms we’ve already described, and access the living room, dining room and bedrooms separately.

We’ve added a couple of additional amenities in this charming apartment rental on Paris’ Left Bank. The fist one is a small sleeping nook fashioned along the corridor between the bathroom and the kitchen, with French armoire and pretty wrought iron bed. Children will love it!

Continuing left down the corridor from the apartment rental’s entryway, you will find a comfortable reading niche with armchair, small table and lamp, to sit cozily in and enjoy a quiet read.

Next on the right is the Swedish-style kitchen, decorated in bold red and white tile and featuring loads of counter and cabinet space. There is an old bistro table with cushioned chairs for a quick bite or cup of coffee, and the exit door to the inner courtyard is convenient for disposing rubbish. You may not think it at first, but this could be your favorite room, as it contains all the necessary appliances to prepare gourmet foods for your dining room table or for dining al fresco in the garden. There is a microwave and convection oven, four-burner electric stove, refrigerator, cappuccino machine, toaster, etc. You’ll find all of the pots, pans, and utensils you’ll need, as well as a full complement of porcelain dishes, cutlery, glasses, and quality linens to set an immaculate table. With a grocery store a few blocks away and open markets in every direction, it’s actually fun to plan and shop for your meals. When you choose to stay in an apartment rental in Paris instead of a hotel room, the benefits add up quickly, in both the cost savings of not having to dine out every meal and the time and effort of always having to dress up. And in our Paris luxury apartment rentals, you’ll always have an intimate setting in which to dine!

The next room as we walk back down the hallway is the water closet on the right. It houses the commode along with a sink with mirror. This totally Parisian amenity is actually a great idea, as it allows for extra ‘getting ready’ room when everyone is preparing to go out.

Of course, the piece de resistance of this apartment rental in Paris is the expansive garden that fronts the property.

A seating area of sturdy wooden benches can be found at one end and at the other find a table, chairs, and umbrella for dining out in warm weather. Loads of mature trees and bushes provide a private setting, and it doubles the amount of living space you'd find in most apartment rentals in Paris. And it’s very quiet, especially for being in the middle of Paris! Not sure? Just peak over the gate and there’s the Eiffel Tower! It’s beautiful any time of day, but it’s quite magical at night when it lights up and glows softly at sunset. Then, every hour on the hour, the magical 10-minute light show begins — the same one used for the Millennium celebrations. Whether you have been to Paris only once or 100 times, it is simply captivating and unforgettable.

An important feature is the fact that all of the windows and doors have metal shutters which can be shut, day or night. They are common in Italy, where they are closed on hot days to offer shade, ventilation and security both day and night. The garden itself is surrounded by a 7.5 foot high iron fence with no separate access, so you have complete privacy.

And because we want you to take full advantage of your Paris stay, we leave lots of guidebooks for you to peruse. We’ll also send you a comprehensive information packet about the apartment and the neighborhood, including tips on food shopping and restaurants, as soon as you reserve one of our apartment rentals in Paris. In addition, our in-house staff of housekeepers and maintenance people will ensure your apartment is spotless and fully functional, and one of our friendly greeters will meet you when you arrive to explain how all of the appliances operate and answer any questions you may have. You probably won’t find services such as these when you shop around for apartment rentals in Paris, but they can make all the difference in your stay.

This is a non-smoking apartment and, sorry, but no pets are allowed.

We think this is a most charming and comfortable apartment rental in Paris and we’re sure you’ll agree.

Please let me know if you have any other questions about our apartment rental in Paris apartment or if we can help in any way. We at www.parisperfect.com think your stay with us will far surpass your expectations!
