It was a drizzling February rain as my flight from Brussels slowly approached the gate at Charles De Gaulle. I was a bit nervous, as I had not seen here in 5 years. She was now living in Paris. Katherine had called me in Brussels and wanted to see me. She volunteered to pick me up at CDG.

As I walked to baggage claim my heart was racing; what would she look like, would she have the same feelings I had? Why did she want to get together? All this was crossing my mind when I suddenly saw her…She was as beautiful as ever and looked so elegant and sophisticated. I thought my heart was going to jump out of chest. Wow!

We rode in her red Alfa Romeo back to Paris and made casual conversation. She took me to my hotel, the Bristol. We had a drink at the lobby and as we chatted, Katherine asked if I would join her for dinner at Brasserie Lipp. I did.

That week The City Of Light was Paris Perfect! That was 1975 and we have been together ever since.
