Description of our Paris apartment
Our new “Condrieu” Paris apartment rental, on Rue des Saints Pères, is on the border of the chic 7th and the 6th arrondissement on the fabled Left Bank of Paris. Condrieu is a gorgeous and spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom vacation apartment rental with air conditioning. It can comfortably accommodate five people in opulent style. This Paris apartment rental has been totally redesigned and renovated to provide a full-sized modern kitchen, richly appointed bathrooms, and a bright and airy double living room housing both a library and dining area. We photographed it just before we finished it, but you have an idea of the gorgeous features from the photos. This Paris vacation apartment rental features a quiet courtyard, yet sits in the heart of all the chic fashion boutiques of the bustling Latin Quarter surrounded by wonderful cafés and restaurants. With the river Seine, the Musée d’Orsay, and so much more within just a few minutes’ walk from your courtyard door, Condrieu is an ideal center for experiencing everything Paris has to offer. Condrieu Paris apartment rental in detail
This Paris vacation apartment rental is located on the first floor of an 18th-century building that features an amazing courtyard. Entrance is from the street through an enormous and ancient arch-shaped door that opens to this delightful and quiet oasis of greenery, columns, and cobblestones. The columns are the remnants of an old Protestant cemetery that was relocated in the 1700s. There is a small historic plaque recording its history on the wall next to the columns. Yes, that’s a chocolate shop and its charming storerooms directly across from the courtyard! Once inside the vacation apartment, you’ll find three sets of long windows overlooking this beautiful sunny courtyard, a prized retreat in the center of this lively arrondissement.
Walk up the stairs to the first floor and step into your luxurious apartment. The entrance hallway of our vacation apartment leads past a closet on your right into the bright and open double living room. Immediately to your right is the dining table, which can seat up to eight, and just beyond it on the right is the kitchen. The kitchen of our Paris vacation apartment is by Boffi in cutting-edge Italian design. There are long countertops in dark granite, loads of cupboard space, and tastefully pleasing recessed lighting. Besides being a work of art, it has been outfitted with every appliance and the utensils you’ll need for gourmet cooking.
Opposite the dining table of our vacation apartment, is the library portion of this large double room. Along with its two sets of built-in bookcases, it has a contemporary leather desk and chair, modern table lamps, and an oversized mirror to provide even more light and space. The living room area features a high-quality sofa, two stuffed chairs, and a marble fireplace framed by bookcases and topped with a gilt-framed mirror. The sofa flips open to make a double bed at night; very easy as you don’t need to remove any cushions! The master bathroom and shower room are easily accessible from either the living room or bedroom, a real convenience for families or groups of four.
Long silk curtains in aubergine accent the two large floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the courtyard, and loads of tasteful artwork adorn the walls. For your entertainment there is a stereo and a TV with DVD player, as well as Internet access to catch up on your emails. To the right of the living area is a large walk-in closet that features built-in drawers, open shelving, space to hang clothes, and the washer/dryer unit.
The vacation apartment master bedroom is just beyond the living room and has a king-sized bed, a marble fireplace, and a large window with the same silk curtains and view of the courtyard.
The master bathroom off this room is a work of modern art. It features a full-sized, egg-shaped bathtub by Phillippe Starke, toilet and a square white ceramic sink sitting on top of a blond-wood counter. All of the fixtures are chrome, including the heated towel rack, and everything is surrounded in mauve tile and paint with accent lighting. It is both dramatic and inviting. Next to the master bathroom is a separate shower room, adding more flexibility for getting ready every morning. The shower room features a full sized shower and sink.
The apartment’s second bedroom is small but accommodates a single bed to comfortably sleeps one person. It has a window overlooking the same beautiful courtyard. Additionally, this bedroom features an en-suite bath that has been totally modernized with a full-sized shower in English slate, decorative lighting and mirrors, heated chrome towel rack, and a sink and toilet. This room is accessed by way of the master bedroom, but for added options, there is a second exterior entrance to the apartment from this bedroom from the back staircase, offering flexibility if someone likes to come in late or take an early morning walk through the neighborhood without disturbing others.
