• Our Kir studio apartment rental is located in the 7th arrondissement on the Left Bank of Paris, one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Paris. It is located one block from the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars Park. The location is, an extremely rare bonus in Paris as there are few large parks in the City center. The park is a great place to jog, walk, or play basketball, and you can even rent bicycles and ride on the paths surrounding the park. It’s wonderful having this wide-open space nearby to sit out and enjoy watching children at play and enjoying the famous ‘Guignols’ puppet theater, which generations of French children have enjoyed. The Eiffel Tower rises majestically at one end, and the stately Ecole Militaire guards the other. The park was once the parade ground of the school’s cadets, so you’re striding where Napoleon once marched with his fellow classmates.

  • Rue Cler is five blocks from our Paris apartment. It is easily among the best and most famous streets for food in Paris. You can shop there every day including Sunday morning, but some of the shops are closed on Mondays. Our favorite cheese merchant there can help you choose the perfect selection; just tell them which day you wish to eat it and they will hand pick it for you!
    
    
  • Pont de l'Almas is the largest open market in Paris and is open every Wednesday and Saturday morning. It’s only a five-minute walk from our Paris apartment rental.
    
    
  • Ave de Saxe, open on Thursday and Saturdays, features some of the most beautiful organic and deluxe food stands in Paris.
    
    
  • Rue de Grenelle, open on Wednesdays and Sundays, has excellent prices and is located a few minute’s walk from our Paris apartment rental, in the 15th arrondissement (across and left of Champs de Mars). Selections are beautifully arrayed and there are a variety of prepared dishes.
    
    
  • Rue du Commerce is a lively French neighborhood near La Motte Piquet métro, about a 10-minute walk from our Paris apartment. You can find excellent fresh foods, a number of clothing stores, a few perfume shops, and the Monoprix department store (a French Target), with a supermarket offering good quality and great prices!
    
    
• Our Kir Paris apartment rental is surrounded by chic boutiques, trendy restaurants, beautiful florists, mouth-watering patisseries and much, much more because the 7th is also a family neighborhood where in the mornings you can see school children scurrying to school in their uniforms and grandmothers pulling their carts to the open markets for their daily shopping.Our Kir studio apartment rental is close to the Ecole Militaire where Napoléon attended military school. It later became Napoleon’s headquarters and housed his elite Emperor’s Troops in 1795. You can still see the signs of gunfire from the French Revolution in 1789 and the shelling it received when the Prussians declared war on France in 1870, defeating Napoleon III. The four statues on the façade represent Might, Peace, Victory, and France, with the statue of Victory depicting Louis XV. Only these few remain as the rest were destroyed during the French Revolution.
  
  
• It is only a 12-minute walk from our Paris apartment to the Invalides, a golden domed masterpiece of French Classical architecture built by Louis XIV. You can visit Napoleon’s tomb here as well as the Musée de l’Armée. The museum houses the finest collection of arms, armor, and uniforms in the world and is especially renowned for its enormous collection of Medieval Armor. Just a little further on is the incredible Rodin Museum, a fascinating testament to his sculpture. This was once his home and the grounds, which feature many of his creations, make a perfect place for a picnic.
  
  
• Our Paris apartment rental is only four blocks from Paris’ newest Grand Museum,, La Musee du Quai Branly. This museum is dedicated to tribal arts of the world. It is a spectacular change of pace from the Louvres and Musee d’Orsay! The design of the museum and its surrounding garden is astonishing and beautiful, a must-see on your Paris vacation.
