Paris Apartments for Sale: Tips and Information

I believe our Kir apartment was the smallest of your apartments, but it was not lacking in amenities whatsoever. We found it far preferable to staying in a tiny hotel room.

Description of Paris rental, the Medoc

Our delightful one bedroom Paris rental can sleep up to four people and is located above Paris rooftops on the 7th floor of an old Paris apartment building (yes, there is an elevator). We named our Paris rental Medoc, after a wine made in one of the most prized regions of Bordeaux that produces some of the best wines in the world. It’s a natural fit as Medoc is located in Paris’ most prized arrondisement, the 7th, and this Paris rental is one of the best one-bedroom apartments we have to offer. Medoc has been completely remodeled and features a beautiful open plan living room, dining area and kitchen. French doors open onto a small balcony from the living room with views over Paris rooftops. There are two large windows in the dining area, so sun steams into our Medoc Paris rental all day long.

Walk into the main building and then thru the courtyard to the back building. Take a narrow but wide elevator to the top, or 7th floor and the doorway to the Medoc Paris rental is on your right. Step into this charming Paris rental! There are two balconies in this cozy Paris rental, one in the living room and one in the bedroom so you can step out and enjoy the view over the rooftops and towards the golden dome of the Invalides Church, where Napoleon is buried. It’s a sunny and light Paris rental apartment, fully remodeled and a real delight to stay in. Step outside and enjoy the village-like feel of 7th arrondissement, where you are surrounded by café’s and restaurants. Not only that, but you are walking distance to many Paris monuments and landmarks, including two blocks to the Grande Dame de Paris, the Eiffel Tower.

You will find a small entryway, with powder room immediately to you right and living room straight ahead, a warm and welcoming room. The style is contemporary and classic in our Medoc Paris rental, with beautiful chandeliers and antiques that blend with the modern sofas and chairs. Our guests tell us they love the fact that our Paris rentals combine modern, quality furniture with interesting touches, such as the round mirror in the bedroom, or the black iron chandeliers in the living and dining room.

The living room of our Medoc Paris rental is flooded with light in the mornings as you can see. Two chandeliers grace the living room and dining area, giving the room a pretty French feel. We had the long sofa made for us in Italy and love the quality. You can take naps on it during the day or a trundle pulls out from underneath, pops up and voila’ you have two single beds at night. The colors of our Medoc Paris rental are beiges and greens, with green and taupe striped silk curtains and pretty Provencal checks for the cushions. An antique white mirror hangs on the wall opposite the balcony, reflecting the sunlight and balcony view into the Medoc Paris rental. We were not quite finished with the apartment when we took the pictures, so doesn’t include the two armchairs which face the sofa in a beige fabric.

Step out on the small balcony and enjoy the views over the Paris rooftops. The views don’t stop there, because you have a unique straight-on view of the Ancient Clock Tower of the 7th arrondissement from two windows in the dining area of our Medoc Paris rental! You will love the feeling of Paris and its history when you feast your eyes on the views from this charming Paris rental.

On the right of the living room is a niche with built-in desk, so you can catch up on work and emails should you desire. We offer free high speed internet so you can even call home from your computer for free with services such as Skype and Vonage. Above the desk is a large flat screen TV so you can watch CNBC, Sky and the BBC when you are home. There is also a DVD player which is dual standard, meaning you can bring your favorite movies from home and watch them, whereas regular French DVD players can only play French standard movies. This a rare feature in Paris rentals and a small extra when you stay in one of our Paris rentals.

Beyond the living room of the Medoc Paris rental, find the dining area, with contemporary glass and dark wood table and kitchen behind. The table expands to seat six for a dinner with family and friends. Above the table is a beautiful iron and crystal chandelier giving a cozy and welcome feel to this room. Not to be missed is the piece de resistance in this room, the large window with direct view of the Ancient Clock Tower in the 7th arrondissement. It’s a beautiful view day and night. There is another window above the desk with the same view and the abundance of windows means this Paris rental apartment feels light and high above Paris rooftops. You will so enjoy dining at home, reconnecting with family and friends over easy-to-prepare meals from dishes you have bought at the local markets nearby. When you reserve, we send a 35 page information pack with all of the information you need about the wonderful Open Markets of this arrondissement as well as restaurant recommendations, site seeing ideas and more, so you can hit the ground running.

The kitchen of our Medoc Paris rental is just beyond the dining table, beautifully designed for convenience in pale beech wood. Find a full sized refrigerator/freezer, combination microwave/convection oven, two burner stove, cappuccino machine plus traditional drip coffee maker, toaster and fine white porcelain dishes. We also stock a range of casserole dishes and more, so you can cook and serve with all the equipment you need. Compared to what you would spend for tiny hotel rooms and numerous restaurant meals every day, you will find the amenities of our special apartments, the views and locations to be an exceptional value.

To the left of the kitchen is the pretty bathroom, tiled in beige Italian marble, with a geometric design in different colors for contrast. The bathroom of the Medoc Paris apartment features a full -sized shower with both fixed and flexible shower heads, a sink and shelves for storage. We also install plenty of hooks so you can hang your toilet kits and towels, something that guests at our Paris rentals really appreciate. The water heater is 80 gallons, the largest available for apartment use, so you won’t run out of hot water during your stay in our Paris rental apartment.

Back to the entryway of the Paris rental; walk ahead past the first balcony and step into the Paris rental bedroom. There is an extra-wide queen-sized bed and another small balcony which you can step out on to enjoy the view of the golden dome of the Invalides Church and Paris rooftop views; you know you are in Paris the moment you step onto the balcony! The bed is high quality and comfortable; we buy them from the same company that supplies beds to luxury hotels in Paris. We have installed a portable air conditioner which vents to the outside so you are comfortable on those warm nights in Paris, a rare plus among Paris apartment rentals.

Find closets on either side of the bedroom balcony and the queen-sized bed on your right. There is a console table on the far wall with flat screen tv and a second dual standard DVD player, along with a selection of Paris guide books for you to use during your stay. Not shown is the antique white bookcase under the long mirror to the side of the bed, which was not yet delivered when we took the pictures.

Please read the features column below for specific details on our Medoc Paris rental. Click on any of the photos to the right to get a complete slide show of our Paris rental. We think that you will find this Paris rental to be a perfect home for you while you are in Paris, with all the special features that make your vacation really special.

Do you have your own people in Paris to greet us, answer questions and take care of unexpected problems during our stay? Yes, we absolutely do! We are an American-led company based in Paris and we believe that great customer service should be our priority. We are among the only Paris apartment rental companies that have hired a team of full time people to take care of you. This level of service sets us apart because many Paris apartment rental companies are ‘virtual’; they use contract cleaners and greeters who handle arrivals for numerous apartments. We don’t believe they can offer the level of service and cleanliness that we can. Our greeters, cleaners and managers are there to make your arrival and your stay as pleasant as possible. Importantly, our greeters and managers are helpful, friendly and speak fluent English.

Besides sending a 35 page information pack about the apartment, the neighborhood and Paris, one of our greeters will be at the apartment to welcome you when you arrive, explain how everything works, give tips and answer questions about the apartment and Paris in general. They are available 7 days a week to help you if you have any problems and we offices around the corner. The importance of having ‘on the ground’ management and service may not be obvious when you compare apartments, but it can make all the difference to your stay.
