Description of our Paris vacation rental in the heart of Paris

Our beautiful Paris vacation rental apartment that we call Montrachet is a 1-bedroom, 450-square-foot apartment rental that can easily accommodate up to four guests in air-conditioned comfort. We named it after the famous white wine Chassagne Montrachet, from the Burgundy region of France — known as the ‘king of white wines’ and one of our absolute favorites! Like the wine, the Montrachet Paris vacation rental has elegance, charm, and character. You’ll feel like a king when you see the views from the three sets of French doors that lead out onto the balcony. When we saw the views from this Paris vacation rental’s living room, bedroom, and even the bed, our first thought was ‘Romance in Paris’! And we were right on the money, because our Montrachet Paris vacation rental has become a favorite for guests to ‘pop the question’ while sipping wine on the balcony with the glittering Grande Dame as a backdrop. Of course, it’s also the perfect accommodation for honeymoons and special anniversaries. We’ve installed an excellent mobile air conditioner, which vents to the outside, in the living room that cools the Paris vacation rental bedroom as well.

Take the elevator to the 5th floor (6th floor American) and enter our Paris vacation rental to a roomy entrance hallway that features a small table and a built-in closet with both hanging space and shelves. The rental separate water closet with toilet is first on your left, with the bathroom next on your left, and then the door into the living room and kitchen on the right. Since this rental entryway was roomy enough and could be closed off from the surrounding rooms, we installed a workstation, phone, and wireless Internet so it could double as an office.

The newly remodeled bathroom of our Paris vacation rental apartment features a full-size bathtub with a flexible showerhead and a sink. The use of space here is excellent; we wanted to put in a combination bathtub and shower, but wanted to easily access the bathtub in this narrow room. We found just the right bathtub, a slightly oval shape that allows you to step in from the side to bathe or shower in style. We tiled this Paris vacation rental apartment bathroom in beige marble tiles that we imported from Italy, with a small frieze around the walls and around the oversized mirror above the round sink that is set into a marble worktop.

The Montrachet Paris vacation rental apartment entryway leads to the beautiful living room directly ahead and the open kitchen off to the right. All of our guests, of course, head immediately for the French doors leading out onto the balcony. It is irresistible for our Paris vacation apartment guests to open the doors that lead onto the balcony and to a perfect, full-on view of La Grande Dame de Paris and, right, towards the river Seine.

It’s wonderful to sit on our vacation rental’s balcony and watch a day in Paris unfold below: parents taking their children to school; people buying their morning and evening baguettes, returning from the market with their shopping baskets full, or joining friends for an espresso in the café on the corner. We believe that a great view is an important factor to a wonderful stay during your vacation in Paris, whether it’s for your first or fiftieth time. It is extremely difficult to find this kind of Paris vacation apartment rental; we say they must have the ‘Wow!’ factor when you walk in the door. As a result, our selection is small, but we are uncompromising in our standards and we know you’ll agree.

Stepping back into our Montrachet Paris vacation rental apartment living room, find a beautiful, cozy room accented by a crystal chandelier, pale accessories, and a comfortable sofa that converts to a double bed at night. The original parquet flooring and fireplace make this a warm and inviting room. The sofa is excellent quality with a bed that is very comfortable for sleeping on — more than any others that we have found.

A special touch — you can see the Eiffel Tower magic light show from our Paris vacation rental apartment balcony, sofa, kitchen, and bedroom. It is so special to watch the magic light show when 20,000 lights start to twinkle every night for 10 minutes on the hour until 1 am. You can even watch the magic light show when the sofa bed is made up — and most guests (and their children) decide not to close the shutters or curtains so they can enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime view one more time. The Paris vacation apartment sofa sits to the left of the original white marble fireplace and we found a pretty white console table to put next to it, topped off with a chic Eiffel Tower lamp to make the perfect touch — so you can see two tours at any time of day or night! An armchair covered in beige cotton sits opposite the sofa, with TV, dual standard DVD player and CD stereo in the corner next to the French doors. You’ll love returning home at night, when you can enjoy seeing the best of Paris from the sofa.

The Paris vacation apartment kitchen is sunny and large for a vacation apartment rental of this size, where an antique provincial buffet provides excellent counter space. All the basic kitchen requirements are included: combination microwave/convection oven, washer/dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, Nespresso machine, and four-burner electric stove. Dishes are from E. Dehellerin in Paris, the shop that furnishes all good restaurants in Paris. With a full array of cookware, you can shop the local open markets and prepare your own gourmet meals. There’s a new washer/dryer is to the left of the sink, a great convenience so you don’t have to over pack.

The master bedroom of our Paris vacation apartment rental is next to the living room, with a beautiful antique bed that has been converted to queen-size. Lean back against the pillows and enjoy a full-on view of the Grande Dame. It is truly stunning and demands breakfast in bed every morning. This is a cozy room and guests love the original fireplace on the left-hand wall. There is a closet with shelves for storage.

This is a non-smoking Paris vacation apartment rental and, sorry, but no pets are allowed.
