Paris Apartment Guest Review - - September 2009

We had an extremely enjoyable stay at the Gigondas apartment this August. It's a beautifully furnished, airy and spacious penthouse right next to Champs de Mars and a 2 min walk from the Eiffel Tower . We were convinced it must be where the Paris Perfect owners stay when they're in Paris - it felt like we were living in a chic Parisian family's stylish home. The view of the Eiffel Tower is very special and look out for the lighting display in the evening, when it truly sparkles. One of our best meals was at Au Petit Sud Ouest, a short walk across the Champ de Mars. Delicious foie gras, cassoulet and duck confit, all at reasonable prices. We discovered the Batobus on our first day - Gigondas is a short walk to the boat stop (east of the Eiffel Tower ), and we rate it highly as an enjoyable and easy way to get around to the major sights. The 42 bus is a very direct way of getting to and from Gare du Nord as it has a stop very close to the apartment - though worth factoring in a 45 min journey time rather than our optimistic 30... Thank you Parisperfect for a lovely stay - the Gigondas apartment is gorgeous and we give the team high votes for their efficiency and friendly welcome. Certainly a most pleasurable way of staying in Paris.
