The Fête de’ Assomption brings pilgrims and the faithful from around the world to celebrate the Assumption of the Virgin Mary at the Cathedral of Notre Dame. The two part religious festival includes an evening river procession along the Seine around the islands of Paris on the evening of August 14. On the following day, after a special mass, a grand procession takes place on foot through the Ile de la Cité – a moving and memorable experience in Paris! Enjoy some of the world's biggest bands at the annual Festival Rock en Seine which takes place in the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, just outside Paris. Not just for teenagers, this festival attracts local families and visitors from near and far and is also as famous for hosting the lesser known groups who will be the stars of tomorrow.

Spend a beautiful summer evening in Paris outdoors at the open-air cinema at the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement. Each summer, the “Cinéma en plein air” festival presents movies from around the world in the pretty park setting. Many films are in English and the selection runs from blockbusters to art films.
