The study is a large alcover off the main corridor leading to the kitchen and living room. It becomes a second bedroom at night and is a lovely space with a sofa and loads of light. The sofa easily slides open to convert to a queen-sized bed; it offers good support and is meant for every night sleeping. The first bathroom and powder room are just next to this room. At the end of the corridor, the door that leads to the living room and kitchen can be closed to allow for quiet and privacy. The architect designed the alcover with a concealed niche so blackout curtains can be drawn across at night to block out the light.
