My wife first visited Paris when she was 16. When walking down the Avenue des Champs-Elysees she told her friends that someday she was going to walk down that street and share the most romantic city in the world with the man of her dreams.

She held onto that dream for 35 years. For our 30th wedding anniversary we finally made the trip of a lifetime to Paris. Our Paris Perfect corner unit viewed the Eiffel Tower. We had several romantic lunches on the balcony with wine, strawberries, cheese and a baguette.

When not enjoying the apartment we loved simply holding hands and walking. When I felt the occasional squeeze I knew we had come to something special. Walking up to The Louvre, squeeze, lunch at an amazing bistro off the beaten path, squeeze, staring up at Notre Dame, squeeze. I could go on and on.

The most memorable moment of the trip came when we were walking down the Avenue des Champs-Elysees. Debbie stopped in her tracks, looked at me and said “This is it. This is the spot where I said I wanted to come back with the man of my dreams.” With tears in our eyes we kissed like a couple newlyweds.

We will come back again.
