Sofa bed converts to two comfortable single beds at night
The Louis Philippe-style daybed is attractive and practical as it provides comfortable seating during the day and can be converted to two comfortable twin beds at night. We believe our guests prefer these deluxe beds to what is generally available in rental apartments.

Guests who stay in the Cabernet apartment say they argue over who gets to sleep in the living room in order to enjoy the full-on Eiffel Tower view! There are wooden shutters you can close to have complete darkness, but most of our guests prefer to leave the curtains open to savor the view.

An important note: all of the windows are state-of-the-art double glazed, the same as used in luxury hotels. The apartment is located in the middle of this bustling city, but is extremely quiet for a good night's sleep.

The TV, DVD player, and sound system make the Living Room a great place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. The TV receives English news channels and the DVD player is dual-standard so you can bring your own movies or rent French ones nearby.

Our stunning Cabernet Paris apartment is 570 sq. ft., and is beautifully furnished to create a warm and welcoming apartment to stay in while you visit Paris. Original features of our Paris apartment have been carefully restored, including original oak floors, moldings, and fireplace. Central air conditioning has been installed for those warm nights.

The 'piece de resistance' of this Paris apartment is the living room, with balcony and full on view of La Grande Dame de Paris: the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars. The room is west facing and very sunny. Two pair of French doors lead to the balcony, where you can step out and enjoy the view. A round marble bistro table and chairs are on the balcony for you to enjoy croissants and café au lait each morning, or toast the sunset with cocktails in the evening.

We love the mirror that graces the fireplace, with a pretty gold ribbon carved in wood at the top. The beige tones of the chairs are accented by the pale blues and rust colors of the lampshades.

Guests prefer to shop for excellent foods at the wonderful open markets nearby, dining at home to front seat views, rather than eat at expensive restaurants every night. Hold your breath and when the clock strikes on the hour, 20,000 lights start to twinkle straight ahead on the Tower, and you will be hooked! Everyone wants to stay up for another hour, just to see it again.

The bed is a dual king which can be made up as one large bed or as two singles. Just let us know which configuration you would like and we'll have it ready for you!

Tall reading lamps mean you can lay in bed and plan your day or lose yourself in a great book. There is an en suite bathroom to the right of the bed, with shower and sink.

The en suite bathroom off the master bedroom is tiled in pale marble and has a wonderful antique coat rack on the right to hang your towels. Our apartments have tons of hooks so you can hang your toilet kits, clothes, jackets and towels. The step-in shower is on your left, with fixed shower head and flexicable shower, too.

The second bathroom has a toilet, shower and sink. It is located off the entryway, just beyond the kitchen. We love the pale French marble. Notice how we install fixed shower heads as well as flexible ones wherever we can, including in the Cabernet rental apartment. Most Parisian apartments only have telephone-type showers.

Beautiful classic style building in Paris

Stroll to the river Seine, just four blocks away!
Step outside your apartment and stroll to the river, just four blocks away. Paris is for romance and lifetime memories and you'll find them all when you stay with us in the Cabernet apartment on the Left Bank.

The Cabernet apartment is located in the heart of the 7th arrondissement, one of the most sought-after in Paris because of its central location. Staying in the 7th arrondissement on the Left Bank means you can step outside your apartment each morning and walk to favorite museums and monuments.

Stroll around the beautiful gardens of the Champ de Mars
Paris is beautiful at any time of year, but there's a reason someone wrote a song about Paris in the springtime. The city goes to great lengths to dress up its parks, and our Cabernet apartment is down the street from the largest and most beautiful, the Champ de Mars. The gardens surround the Eiffel Tower; run, skate, rent a bicycle, play basketball or simply enjoy a slower life as Parisians do on the old green wooden benches.

Short walk to Napoleon's military school, Ecole Militaire
At one end of the park you'll find the stately Ecole Militaire; this is the school where Napoleon received his military training. And the same grounds across the street, called the Champ de Mars park are where he and his fellow cadets drilled en masse. If you get up early in the morning for a walk, bike ride, or run, you will see the cadets jogging around the Eiffel Tower. The school became Napoleon's headquarters and housed the elite Emperor's Troops in 1795. Look closely and you'll see the damage from gunfire that occurred in the French Revolution in 1789, as well as the results of the shelling when the Prussians declared war on France in 1870 to defeat Napoleon III. There were four ancient statues on the façade that represented: Might, Peace, Victory, and France. The statue of Victory is of Louis XV. Few of the statues are still standing, as most were destroyed during the French Revolution.

Live like a Parisian in the 7th arrondissement
And you will discover something else, living as a Parisian in the village-like atmosphere of the 7th arrondissement. The famous rue Cler is five blocks away, filled with food shops and excellent brasseries. Choose your warm buttery croissants each morning or stop for a café au lait on the cobblestone street.

Delicious French pastries are on display on every other block in this neighborhood, one of the advantages of staying here.

Two of our favorite cheese shops are located in the area
Our favorite cheese shops (Marie Cantin and the specialist goats cheese shop on rue Cler) remind us when our favorite Beaufort is in season, with the special grainy-like texture. They taught us that the best Beaufort is produced from cows summer milk, not winter milk, a subtle but important difference if you love cheese. Or having friends for dinner and ordering St. Felicien that is slightly runny on the outside and Camembert from Normandy. Our cheese proprietor will squeeze them until he is sure he has found that one that will be perfect for tonight.

Four open markets in the 7th selling fruit and vegetables
The four open markets around the 7th are flourishing thanks to the Parisians who still live in our neighborhoods and who shop here. There are more open markets within walking distance of the 7th arrondissement than any other neighborhood in Paris and each one is unique. Growers, fishermen and small producers drive in from the countryside at the crack of dawn to set up and sell their fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers and produce to discerning Parisians.

We love the 7th arrondissement because there are more Open Markets here than any other neighborhood in Paris. Walk to one of three open markets to buy fresh flowers, the best cheeses from the farmers who come in from Normandy, fresh breads, fruits, vegetables, and even lobsters from Brittany.
