Magnificent living and dining area views of the Eiffel Tower
The view of the Eiffel Tower, La Grand Dame de Paris, is simply stupendous from the two sets of French doors fronting our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental. This engineering marvel and icon of Paris is so close that it seems like you can reach out and touch it! By choosing to stay in our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental, you'll be able to enjoy this dramatic view from your dining area, living room, and even the kitchen of St. Emilion's expansive front room. We named St. Emilion in honor of the Saint Emilion wines produced in the oldest wine area of the Bordeaux region, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. They are considered to be very generous, richly colored, and the most robust of the Bordeaux wines. That describes our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental to a 't.'
Close up shot of the Eiffel light show from the dining room
The living/dining room has two pair of French doors which lead onto decorative balconies; our guests are simply astounded by the view of the Eiffel Tower straight ahead and the gardens of the Champ de Mars and Parisian life below. The view is simply magnificent day and night, but in June, 2003 something special happened. The City of Paris relit the magic fairy lights which were used for the Millennium celebrations and they now twinkle for ten minutes every hour after dark. It is truly magical. When you are ready to sleep, it's not a problem in our apartments as we have installed blackout shades on all of our windows and French doors - but our rental guests tell us they prefer to leave them open and enjoy the view of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Welcome to our St. Emilion apartment rental in Paris
Our fully air-conditioned St. Emilion apartment has two bedrooms, two baths and a large living room. It is 680-square-feet, on the sixth floor (with elevator) and faces west, which means it is above the treetops, very light and sunny. The apartment has been elegantly furnished and the original features carefully restored, including original oak floors, moldings, and fireplace (decorative only).
Enter our Paris apartment to a wide corridor leading to each room. We found two wooden gargoyles at the Puces antique market several years ago and have used them as the base of a rounded-glass table in the entryway. Straight ahead is the master bathroom with its mythical fish hinting at what other visual delights await behind every door. And speaking of doors, all rooms off the entryway can be closed off, allowing this room to be used as a work area equipped with high-speed wireless Internet access.
One other first impression that strikes you when you first enter our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental is its shiny and spotless condition. We thoroughly clean and inspect every room prior to your arrival, ensuring there'll be no surprises during your stay. We also have an office in the neighborhood - staffed by full-time employees ready to respond to your needs, 7 days a week. Experienced travelers to Paris tell us this is what really sets us apart from other rental companies.
Spacious living area with large French windows
This view shows the results of our efforts, which essentially turned a sow's ear into a silk purse. Our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental is now more open, bright, and pleasingly colorful. Sunlight pours in from the two sets of French windows, which invite you to step out onto the small decorative balconies for panoramic views out across Champ de Mars park and the pretty street below. The sweeping views also take you across the riverbank, just a 3-minute walk away, towards the impressive Trocadéro that sits across the Seine. Inside, the warm yellows and tans come to life in the natural light, which is further enhanced by the beautifully refinished original oak floors. Staying in our St. Emilion Paris apartment rental provides the perfect setting for up to 6 people who desire the quintessential Parisian experience.
Living room with large sofa bed, cable TV and free internet
The large convertible sofa in the living room is over six feet long. It is extremely comfortable for sleeping as it consists of twin mattress - the sofa seat itself plus a trundle that pulls out from underneath. Many guests who stay in our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental actually prefer sleeping here because of the awesome view of the Eiffel Tower, and with black-out curtains and state-of-the-art double-glazed windows, a restful night's sleep is assured.
Next to the fireplace is a marble bistro table with TV, DVD player, and stereo. The DVD and CD player are compatible with American movies, so you can bring some of your favorites with you. The satellite connection means you can watch CNN and BBC news, and sample all of the French channels as well. We provide a free wireless ADSL line so you can check your emails while savoring the view.

This Paris apartment definitely has the 'Wow' factor!
The focal point as you first step into the room is the antique walnut chest of drawers below the over-sized mirror sitting between the two French doors. Then your eye catches the original gray fireplace (decorative only) on the right with another huge mirror above, and the feeling of light and space continues to grow. Turn around and yet another large mirror hangs above the sofa. If you're like most of our guests, your initial reaction when you walk into our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental is 'Wow!' And that's just for the entryway shown later in this slideshow. Then, you walk in here and say 'Wow!' again, and again! That's what we at Paris Perfect strive for. We call it the 'Wow' factor and each and every one of our Paris vacation rentals must have it. We want every guest to experience this reaction as soon as they walk into one of our Paris vacation rentals. For some it may be the views, for others it may be the furnishings or the cleanliness or the decoration. Our Paris vacation rentals have all of that and more.
We didn't forget the comfort factor and installed air conditioning throughout the apartment for those warm Paris nights.

Great spot to enjoy a good book.
We covered the old oak loveseat in the corner with a fresh beige check; it's nice to curl up on it and read a good book on slow days. We're all about comfort, not only in the furnishings we provide, but by anticipating your needs and desires and meeting or exceeding them all. Take, for example, your arrival. Whereas most Paris vacation rental companies use contract "representatives" to pass you the keys when you reach the front door of the building, we employ full-time greeters who are intimately aware of all of the subtleties of the neighborhood, the building itself, and, of course, your Paris apartment rental. Their cheerful and friendly greeting alone is worth it after you've traveled halfway around the world, but they do so much more. In addition to explaining the various entry systems (front door, lobby door, and apartment door - good security is never an issue!), they will walk you through the apartment explaining how to operate appliances, convert beds and where the linens for the sofa are kept, and they'll point out the guidebooks and 'helpful hints' material we produce so that you can take better advantage of the neighborhood and city itself (restaurants, transportation, open markets, etc.). Our greeters can answer any immediate questions you may have so you can relax and enjoy peace of mind on your very first night. When you stay in a Paris Perfect Paris vacation rental, you'll be able to hit the ground running, taking full advantage of the City of Light while knowing you have the very best accommodations available to return to every evening.
Incredible view of the Eiffel Tower from the sofa
You'll definitely want to toast your arrival in Paris on your first night in our St. Emilion vacation rental. In such an enchanting and richly appointed setting, this view is simply too perfect not to celebrate. The incredible view from the sofa made decorating the room almost an afterthought! You can well imagine how delightful this room was back in the day when the room was divided; its occupants cozied up in front of the fireplace with a mesmerizing view of the Eiffel Tower. But what a transformation! Every day that you're out sightseeing you'll look forward to returning here, making our St. Emilion rental an extension of your Parisian experience, which beats a multitude of 'another two bedroom Paris apartments', hands down. You invest a lot to come to Paris and our goal is to turn your stay into a memory of a lifetime from the moment you step through your apartment door.
A view to come back to, time and again
You'll find yourself constantly walking up to this French door to bask in the light of Tour Eiffel, shown here bursting to life as she does for 10 minutes every evening hour on the hour in thousands of glittering halogen lights. We know you invest a lot of time, effort, and funds to travel to this amazing city, and we're convinced you won't get more bang for your buck than by staying at an exceptional Paris vacation rental.
Elegant dining table with straight-on Eiffel Tower views
This beautiful oak dining table expands to seat six in a setting that rivals the best seats in the finest Parisian restaurants. With a close-up, straight-on view of the Eiffel Tower, a colorful chandelier above, and your choice of background music playing softly on the CD player, every meal in our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental is a delight. The true beauty of this dining venue, along with the modern kitchen in our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental, is all the money you'll save from not having to dine out for every meal. By visiting the many open markets and convenient stores in the neighborhood you'll find the freshest ingredients from the French countryside as well as many excellent prepared dishes you simply warm up. Staying in a Paris vacation rental with a view makes a lot of economic sense because you'll want to come home to dine at the best table in Paris.
Kitchen is located next to the dining area
Paris is all about food, and you'll be able to experience that to your heart's content by staying in any one of our many Paris vacation rentals because of their dining areas and exquisitely stocked kitchens.
Step outside and enjoy some of the best pastries in Paris, buy fresh fruits and vegetables a few doors away or cross the river to stock up on fresh cheeses from Normandy at the open market. The best part of the experience is to simply sit at the café on the corner with the Herald Tribune and a café au lait, taking in Parisian life all around you.
And, if St. Emilion isn't available during the dates of your trip, we have many, many more apartments to choose from, most with views of the Eiffel Tower and all of them as charming, well furnished, and spotlessly clean as St. Emilion.

Looking towards the kitchen
As you can see here, the kitchen of our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental is situated next to the dining area with a pass thru to the dining area. You'll find that opening convenient for passing out prepared dishes, using the granite countertop as a side table to keep your elegant table less cluttered, and allowing your companions to carry on with the conversation as you work in the kitchen. We hung a charming clock above the counter and the long strangely-shaped metal object is actually an antique coffee roaster! In olden times, you roasted your own coffee beans on a stand over an open fire, turning it gradually with the wooden handle. The beans fit in the cylinder compartment.
The very best feature of the open counter is allowing you to enjoy that fabulous view of the Eiffel Tower as you clean up the dishes (not to worry - you'll find a high-quality dishwasher in our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental kitchen). This picture also highlights another important quality that sets Paris Perfect apart from most other Paris vacation rental companies. The antique-style clock, artwork, and other artifacts sprinkled throughout our Paris vacation rentals are all thematic of Old World Paris, giving our guests a tasteful and integrated experience of exactly where they are. We put a great deal of effort into ensuring your time spent within our Paris vacation rentals is as rewarding and fulfilling as your time out sightseeing.
Wide opening in the kitchen offers a view of the Eiffel Towe
One of the nicest surprises is the wide opening above the sink which offers a view the Eiffel Tower, even while doing dishes.
Kitchen has everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal
The kitchen of our St. Emilion vacation rental is compact but well-designed with all of the appliances you need to prepare and cook a gourmet meal in Paris, the capital of cuisine. There is a large refrigerator-freezer, microwave, oven, four-burner stove, dishwasher, teapot, coffeemaker, espresso maker, and toaster. Granite countertops in pink and gray complement the sycamore cabinets. With a full array of cookware, you can shop the local open markets and shops to prepare your own gourmet meals.
Modern kitchen with a view of the Eiffel Tower
Ah! Savory sweets await to be enjoyed with your after-dinner desert wine, but how do you tear yourself away from the mouth-watering views of the Eiffel Tower? Hey, is that guy on level 2 waving to us? This unbelievable view was shot from the kitchen with the desert resting on the granite-topped counter of the opening over the sink. Once you experience the thrill of staying in our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental, preparing meals and doing dishes will never be the same again!
St. Emilion's beautiful master bedroom is very quiet
The air conditioned master bedroom - the apartment is completely air conditioned - of our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental faces the building's courtyard so it is very quiet. We decorated it in pale yellows and taupes to give it a warm and romantic feel, and it's a delight when the morning sunlight streams in over the rooftops.
The French doors have the highest quality double-glazing available. As in the other rooms, blackout blinds allow you to sleep comfortably but also read in bed on a lazy day.

Master bedroom has quality bedding and reading lamps
The St. Emilion master bedroom features an extra wide queen bed with a beautifully carved wooden headboard that is painted to resemble the back of an antique Venetian bench; the pale colors going well with the bedspread and curtains. Space is at a premium, so we found a special bed base in Italy which opens up for storage with a hydraulic spring. Find extra pillows, duvet and blankets underneath. There is a hanging closet on your right as you enter the bedroom.
As pretty and comfortable as it looks, you'll find that its real reward lies in the quality the mattress. We would never skimp when it comes to your sleeping comfort because we know the importance of a restful night's sleep before taking on a long day of sightseeing. So we only use the very best mattresses available in every one of our Paris vacation rentals, the same ones you'd find in Paris' best hotels. Going even further, we use high-thread-count linens and top-quality pillows in all of our Paris vacation rentals for a truly luxurious sleep. And, because we know many of our guests enjoy reading in bed, we always provide good reading lamps, like these beautiful wall-mounted lamps with their pretty yellow shades, adjustable brass arms, and tasseled on/off switches.
Master bedroom has plenty of storage space
You'll find a built-in closet for hanging up your belongings immediately to the right as you enter. We do our best at Paris Perfect to ensure as much built-in storage as possible, including a container bed made in Italy which lifts up with hydraulic springs to store linens underneath.
Enjoy watching TV from the comfort of your master bedroom
Facing the bed is a antique-style console table with flat screen TV and access to both French stations and English-speaking news stations. A dramatic antique mirror sits on top.
Pretty second bedroom has two single beds
The small second bedroom of the St. Emilion Paris apartment rental features two high-quality single beds, with en suite bathroom, closet and small balcony. We've covered the beds with quilted toile de jouy fabric, giving it a fresh, Provencal feel. Since the apartment is on the top floor, you'll enjoy charming rooftop views of chimney pots and blue sky.
On the left is the en suite second bathroom which has a toilet, step-in shower and sink. Guests love the convenience and the look of earth-tone mosaic design in the long shower.
Gorgeous French bedspread in the second bedroom
Both bedrooms of our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental also overlook the building's quiet inner courtyard and the French doors feature the same sound-insulated glass as the living room and the master bedroom. You'll find a built-in closet to the right of the windows with the door to the en suite bathroom to the left.
This bedroom was originally the kitchen and had a 'garde manger' or 'hold food', a cold closet under the window that stuck out from the building and had wooden slats for air circulation. The garde manager was all people had to keep their food cool before refrigerators were invented. We saw the view and received permission to remove the 'garde manger' and transform the window into French doors with a small balcony. The view at sunrise from the balcony was worth every penny.
Cute angel painting adds a whimsical touch
Delightful second bedroom of our St. Emilion apartment
Full moon from the second bedroom window
A gorgeous full moon rises outside the window of the second bedroom in our Saint Emilion Paris vacation rental. We always look for apartments on higher floors so views aren't blocked and the natural light can find its way in. We don't like staying in apartments on lower floors that remain in the shadows of nearby buildings, and we don't think you do either. One of the main reasons Parisians flock to the many sidewalk cafés is so they can escape their dark apartments and sit out in the warmth of the sun. Northern European cities don't receive a lot of sunlight, and the narrow streets and crowded buildings block out most of what they do get.

Master bathroom with bathtub-shower and double sinks
The master bathroom features a bathtub with fixed shower and double sinks. It is tiled in beige French limestone with a frieze of a mythical fish hanging on the wall above the tub. The bathtub has a fixed German shower head and a folding glass door. We found beautiful, large chrome hooks at the Marche' aux Puces for hanging towels and toilet kits. The marble sinks are antique shell-shaped basins from Italy , which we modified into sinks. They look beautiful sitting on the limestone countertops.
Additionally, our St. Emilion Paris vacation rental has a full-size washer and dryer in the cupboard next to the bathtub. Having a clothes washer and dryer is a big plus because you'll be able to pack a lot less for your trip. That is another significant advantage when you compare staying in a hotel to one of our Paris vacation rentals. And, when you reduce the amount of clothing you have to pack, the weight of your luggage is a lot less, too, making travel much easier and possibly saving you money with the airlines when you check your bags.
Marble sinks from an antique market in Naples
A pair of antique white marble sinks sits on the limestone worktop in the master bathroom; they came from Naples and are carved in the form of large seashells. They are beautiful and tell their age with the old water marks inside. Two narrow medicine chests and a shelf below the sinks provides ample storage.
En suite bathroom with shower, toilet and sink
The en suite/second bathroom is tiled in Italian marble; a decorative frieze surrounds the walls and gives the room a Mediterranean feel. It's a sunny room with two windows, toilet, sink, and beautifully tiled long shower and bench.
An important note: almost all of our showers have a fixed shower head as well as a flexible one, unlike most apartments in France. Where possible we also install 80-gallon hot water tanks, the largest available, so you don't run out of hot water halfway through the second shower. These details are not obvious when you are searching for an apartment in Paris, but we think they are important touches.
Second bathroom has plenty of natural light
The second bathroom (en suite) has a round porcelain sink sitting on a corner cupboard with a mirrored medicine cabinet above. Because of its two windows and many angled mirrors, this is a very sunny room and also very private, as the window in the shower is significantly raised.
Moroccan tiled mirror in the second bathrooom
Beautiful inlaid mosaics in the shower
Separate powder room with toilet and sink
The powder room of our St. Emilion Paris apartment rental sits immediately to the left as you enter the apartment's front door. It features a toilet, sink, cupboard, and loads of hooks for extra 'getting ready' room. As you can see our designers took as much care here as in the rest of the apartment, outfitting this room in Italian marble tile with a pink marble sink and mirrored medicine cabinet.

Paris is for children, too!
'We had told the boys all day that they had to stay up until ten, even though they were exhausted from their flight, because there would be something special to show them.
Once they saw the lights, they insisted on staying up until 11, and then begged us to wake them up every hour to see it again. (From the Meredith's, who took this picture of their boys during their stay at St. Emilion)
For children, staying in our apartments is a special, special memory. They wait with anticipation for nightfall to come, so they can wait for the magic light show with their front site view. Museums, churches and monuments are one thing, but this is the view that makes them fall in love with Paris and Europe and want to come back again.
Another added bonus for children staying in one of our Paris vacation rentals in the 7th arrondissement is the proximity of Champ de Mars park, where the Eiffel Tower sits. Being able to simply walk out your door, cross a street or two, and step into such an expansive green space is a tremendous benefit. After a long day of jostling with the crowds while out sightseeing, it's a tremendous respite to relax and enjoy its peaceful serenity. And, it's great for the children to have a place where they can burn off their energy, rather than running up and down the halls of a hotel. Perhaps they'll want to jog around the park every morning with the young army cadets from the Ecole Militaire, who are following in the footsteps of Napoleon, who also trained there. There are also playgrounds scattered throughout, carousels to ride, and even puppet shows to entertain.
