Left bank, heart of the 7th arrondissement, unquestionably one of the best in Paris. This short term rental is a short walk to the famous rue Cler market street, Eiffel Tower, Invalides and Musée Rodin. The apartment is surrounded by cafés, shops, restaurants, and open markets; the neighborhood retains its original village feel.

Views from the Apartment

  • Three large windows opening onto a quiet and secure courtyard.

In the Neighborhood

  • Ecole Militaire métro is 4 blocks; 3 blocks to La Tour Maubourg métro. Two main buses stop 1 block away.
  • The Seine is three blocks away and right near where the famous Bateau Mouche boat tours begin.

  • Open Markets (2 min): Rue Cler is just around the corner, one of the best and most famous streets for food in Paris. Pont de l'Alma is a six-minute walk and has the largest open market in Paris every Saturday morning. Ave de Saxe is ten minutes away, famous for organic ingredients and its gorgeous views of the Eiffel Tower. Merchants come from the country with wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, pâtés, breads, even five types of escargots!

  • American Library (8 min): An institution in Paris, situated across from an old elementary school built at the turn-of-the-century - you can become a day member and catch up on English newspaper, check out books and use their internet facilities.
  • Eight blocks to the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars gardens. The Champ de Mars park is a rare bonus in Paris as there are few large parks in the center of the city. Walk, run, play in 1 of 3 playgrounds, basketball court, go to the puppet theater or just sit and enjoy. Nearby skating and bike rental are fun activities in the park, especially after strenuous site seeing.

  • Six blocks to the incredible Rodin Museum.

  • The location is one of the best in Paris: 5-minute walk to the river; 5 minutes to the Invalides; 5 minutes to the Eiffel Tower, to the Ecole Militaire and new Musée Branly; 15 minutes to the Trocadéro; the Grand Palais and the couturiers on Ave. Montaigne, the Four Seasons George V for tea or 3-star dining; 15-minute walk to the Champs Elysées; 20-minute walk to Place de la Concorde and the Bon Marché department store.

  • Four blocks to the golden dôme of the Invalides, where Napoléon is buried, along with surrounding park.

Summary

  • Surrounded by restaurants, pâtisseries, cafés, bistros, and shops frequented by local Parisians.

We leave several Paris guidebooks and other information on the neighborhood for you to peruse during your stay.
This is a non-smoking apartment and, sorry, but no pets are allowed.

View from courtyard garden into our short term Paris rental
Our Côtes de Provence studio apartment in Paris features three large windows that open onto the quiet courtyard. The apartment is decorated in tones of cream and has beautifully restored features. The furnishings and aspect of this sunny apartment give it a wonderful French country feel in the heart of Paris.

  • Provence

Living area of our Paris studio apartment
The chair and small table can easily be rearranged to suit one's pleasure, perhaps to catch the best light from the windows for reading or to form a cozy nook for intimate dining. It's nice to relax here at the end of the day, listen to music or catch up on the internet or news.

The room is completed with framed art on the walls, a simple but elegant metal chandelier on the ceiling, and an antique-style curtain rod with sheer curtain forming a headboard above the bed.

  • Provence

Table is large enough for a romantic dinner for two
Dining at home represents the biggest savings of all, because paying for three meals/day in Paris can really add up - especially when restaurants charge up to $15 for a bottle of Coke. When you shop in our local markets for pre-prepared dishes and fresh ingredients, you will save significantly - and enjoy 3-star dining in beautiful surroundings in our apartments.

  • Provence

Large studio has four separate areas
This large studio has four separate areas: the living area with sofa and arm chair, then a queen-sized bed in the sleeping area, a desk and a dressing area in the far corner - it's ideal for spending time in 'at home' in Paris.

  • Provence

Studio apartment has a queen-sized bed and plenty of storage
This room is quite large for a studio apartment, with enough room for a queen-size bed, chest of drawers, writing desk, and living room. The bed can also be used for seating, allowing ample room for invited guests. The size of the studio is an advantage because you don't have to fold and unfold a sofa bed at night.

Two large windows on the left wall overlooking the courtyard provide loads of light, assisted by the oversized mirror hung on the opposite wall.

  • Provence

Original limestone walls in our short term rental in Paris
A beautiful iron crown or pelmet frames the bed with pretty cream lace curtains, creating a warm, Provencal look.

The piece de resistance is the original limestone wall discovered during the renovation. Paris was built on limestone and much of it was excavated for the old buildings that remain. Interestingly, you can explore some of the limestone caves in Les Catacombes in Paris. Now fully exposed, it adds a dramatic touch to this room and is further enhanced by the darker hardwood floor and the antique-style white and cream furniture.

  • Provence

Set up your laptop at the desk and connect to free internet
At the second window find an antiqued white desk where you can work in peace and quiet. Our short term rental in Paris has free ADSL and WiFi internet connection, so you can catch up with friends and family back home.

Beyond you can see into the kitchen and towards the courtyard.

  • Provence

Watch cable television or a DVD from the comfort of your bed
Entertainment is provided by high-definition cable TV with DVD and DivX player and a high fidelity stereo. We also provide a small selection of music and English movies, or bring your own, as it's wonderful to relax at home after a busy day.

The dresser provides extra storage and there is also a closet for hanging items near the entryway.

Kitchen of our short term rental in Paris
The kitchen has been totally redesigned to maximize its space, and it has been decorated in beige, white, and chrome to enhance the natural light from the window and give it an open, airy feel.

The countertop serves as an intimate breakfast bar with its two raised barstools; a perfect place for your morning café crème and croissant.

Everyone loves buying fresh warm croissants at the pâtisserie on the corner each morning, or choosing a special dessert after lunch or dinner. Rue Cler, one of the most famous market streets in Paris, is right around the corner and features some of the best greengrocers, pâtisseries, delicatessens, wine merchants, cheese merchants, fish shops, butchers, and even health food stores in Paris. You will delight in stepping out for fresh croissants and baguettes every morning, still warm from the oven.

Prepare gourmet French meals in your fully-equipped kitchen
The kitchen has been outfitted with modern yet space-saving appliances, including a two-burner electric stove, under-the-counter refrigerator, and combination microwave-convection oven, as well as a toaster, coffee maker, and kettle. You'll find everything you need to prepare gourmet meals including porcelain dishware, pots, pans and cooking utensils.

Paris and la vie Parisienne revolves around food. The advantage to staying in this wonderful quartier is that there are four open markets nearby - you can shop for the freshest ingredients and already prepared dishes daily and enjoy dining at home in your charming and romantic apartment. Having a kitchen and a dining area are among the many advantages of staying in a Paris apartment rental, as you don't have to get dressed up and go out for every meal. The French have mastered the art of ready-prepared dishes and foods, so you don't even have to cook to enjoy great French cuisine.
