Left bank, heart of the 7th arrondissement, unquestionably one of the best in Paris. This short term rental is a short walk to the famous rue Cler market street, Eiffel Tower, Invalides and Musée Rodin. The apartment is surrounded by cafés, shops, restaurants, and open markets; the neighborhood retains its original village feel.
- Eiffel Tower
- Ecole militaire de Paris
Where Napoleon went to military school. Look at this beautiful building and find the bullet holes still evident from the Revolution.
- Invalides
Invalides where Napoleon is buried. Musee' de l'Armee' one of the most interesting military museums in the world, from ancient times, to the middle ages and beyond.
- Sewer Tour of Paris
Highly recommended visit to see underground Paris. The sewers of Paris are impeccably clean, but with its vaulted ceilings and street markets, a very 'Phantom of the Opera' experience.
- Trocadero and Museum of Cinema
- Arc de Triomphe
- Rue Cler
Rue Cler -- famous market street in Paris
- Alma Open Market
One of the largest open markets in Paris; shop here for the freshest foods from the countryside.
- Ave Montaigne: Four Seasons and Plaza Athenee
Two world class hotels and all of the great designers of the world from Chanel to Dior to Jimmy Choo
- The Avenue of the Grand Couturiers
Many of the world's major clothing designers have their flagship stores here. Stroll down this beautiful avenue and enjoy window shopping or come in January and June for the sales.
- Musee' de la Mode
the Museum of Fashion: Over 80,000 fashion items carefully preserved. Check opening days and times.
- Ave de Saxe Open Air Market Street
One of the most beautiful open air markets in Paris
- Musee Branly Ethnic Arts
Newest major museum in Paris; award-winning gardens and architecture.
- Musee Du Louvre
- Marche Grenelle
Great open air market on Wednesday and Sunday morning. The location of Marche Grenelle is La Motte Picquet Metro.
- rue du Commerce
Great shopping for clothes and food.
Views from the Apartment
- Three large windows opening onto a quiet and secure courtyard.
In the Neighborhood
- Ecole Militaire métro is 4 blocks; 3 blocks to La Tour Maubourg métro. Two main buses stop 1 block away.
- The Seine is three blocks away and right near where the famous Bateau Mouche boat tours begin.
- Open Markets (2 min): Rue Cler is just around the corner, one of the best and most famous streets for food in Paris. Pont de l'Alma is a six-minute walk and has the largest open market in Paris every Saturday morning. Ave de Saxe is ten minutes away, famous for organic ingredients and its gorgeous views of the Eiffel Tower. Merchants come from the country with wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, pâtés, breads, even five types of escargots!
- American Library (8 min): An institution in Paris, situated across from an old elementary school built at the turn-of-the-century - you can become a day member and catch up on English newspaper, check out books and use their internet facilities.
- Eight blocks to the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars gardens. The Champ de Mars park is a rare bonus in Paris as there are few large parks in the center of the city. Walk, run, play in 1 of 3 playgrounds, basketball court, go to the puppet theater or just sit and enjoy. Nearby skating and bike rental are fun activities in the park, especially after strenuous site seeing.
- Six blocks to the incredible Rodin Museum.
- The location is one of the best in Paris: 5-minute walk to the river; 5 minutes to the Invalides; 5 minutes to the Eiffel Tower, to the Ecole Militaire and new Musée Branly; 15 minutes to the Trocadéro; the Grand Palais and the couturiers on Ave. Montaigne, the Four Seasons George V for tea or 3-star dining; 15-minute walk to the Champs Elysées; 20-minute walk to Place de la Concorde and the Bon Marché department store.
- Four blocks to the golden dôme of the Invalides, where Napoléon is buried, along with surrounding park.
