Overlooking the beautiful Place Dauphine, on the Île de la Cité, the Anjou is a lovely two-bedroom vacation rental set on two levels - 1st and 2nd floors* - of our exclusive La Place Dauphine building, located on one of the most charming squares in Paris. Because it was built in 1610, at the request of King Henri IV, you'll be surrounded by history during your stay at La Place Dauphine! Wonderful original details have been preserved, such as the incredible beams from 1610 that are a highlight of the Anjou apartment. On the upper floor, you'll find a modern kitchen, living room, a sumptuous bedroom, en suite bathroom, and additional half bath. The second bedroom and full bathroom is located on the lower level. An internal staircase connects the upper and lower level. This building features an elevator, security digital locks and every modern convenience and the apartment is accessed via elevator or stairs.

The fully equipped kitchen means you can unwind with family and friends, while treating treat yourselves to the delight of baguettes, exquisite French cheeses, and gourmet foods from the nearby markets. As you relish these culinary pleasures, you will enjoy the breathtaking view of Place Dauphine from the comfort of your own home.

The living room, with its captivating semi-circular windows on the upper level, provides a delightful view that overlooks Place Dauphine. For several centuries, starting from 1610, this floor served as the cherished living quarters for the owners, allowing them easy access to their wine and grocery store on the 1st floor*. We have equipped the living room with full air conditioning and double-glazed, insulated windows for good soundproofing.

Step outside and you'll immediately understand why Place Dauphine is one of the most coveted spots in Paris. Lined with buildings from the early 1600s, the square is full of trees and dotted with benches that are the perfect spots to sit and take in the historic setting. A popular spot with locals for games of pétanque, you'll even hear the click of steel balls used in this traditional French game. Surrounding Place Dauphine are excellent cafés and restaurants that are popular with lawyers working at the nearby Palais de Justice, which means the quality is excellent! Staying on the Île de la Cité right in the heart of Paris - "Kilometer Zero" as it is called - means you're surrounded by all the best sights, museums, shopping spots and top neighborhoods to explore while in Paris. You can walk to all of them! Also located on the Île de la Cité are the Notre-Dame Cathedral and Sainte-Chapelle, with its gorgeous stained glass windows. Cross over to the Right Bank, on the Pont Neuf, to visit the Louvre or explore the Tuileries Garden. Stroll along the Seine on the Left Bank to the Musée d'Orsay or explore stylish Saint Germain and meander through the cobblestone streets in the Latin Quarter. Please note: The doorway to the upper bedroom has the original 1610 wood beams along the top (between 5'10" and 6'1" in height). If you're 6' or taller, you'll need to watch your head when passing through. Although once inside the rooms, the ceiling height is a comfortable 6'7"(200cm) high. The bedroom on the lower level has assisted mobility access.
