Calvados

Set in a Paris location that feels almost too good to be true, Calvados is a beautiful two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with air conditioning, just moments from the Eiffel Tower, Champ de Mars and the Seine. The charming balcony with bistro table has a view that changes beautifully with the seasons. In summer, leafy green trees frame the setting with a glimpse of the top of the Eiffel Tower sparkling above them. As the trees change through the year, more of the tower rises into view through the branches, like a Paris painting.

The main living space is open and beautifully designed in the Paris Perfect style, with the L-shaped kitchen and dining area as you step into the room and a comfortable sitting area beyond. Large French doors open to the balcony, bringing in light and framing the view, while warm tones create a welcoming atmosphere. Behind the comfortable sofa, which also converts to a bed for extra sleeping flexibility, mirrored wall panels reflect the light of the antique chandelier and sconces as well as the antique fireplace mantel with its gold-framed mirror.

The sleek L-shaped kitchen features white cabinetry and a mirrored backsplash that adds to the brightness of the space. The elegant dining table makes it easy to enjoy meals at home with ingredients picked up from the neighborhood markets and gourmet food shops. Or, on a beautiful day, step out to the balcony for coffee or a glass of wine at the bistro table, with the Eiffel Tower close by and Paris all around you.

The same beautiful attention to detail continues in the two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is peacefully designed with excellent built-in storage around the bed and blue toile de Jouy wallpaper details that add a classic French touch. Its full en suite bathroom features a shower, toilet and sink. Bedroom 2 is designed for one guest and includes a charming Parisian rooftop wallpaper inset that we especially love. Just next door is bathroom 2 with a large shower and sink, while the second toilet is located in the powder room near the entrance.

This location is Paris at its easiest and most memorable. Walk to the Champ de Mars for picnics, morning strolls or evenings watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle, then wander a little farther to reach the Seine for riverside walks and boat rides through the heart of the city. The fascinating Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac is nearby, and the surrounding streets are filled with excellent food shops, cafés and restaurants that make daily life in the 7th arrondissement so enjoyable. Pick up fresh ingredients on Rue Cler, return for dinner at home or a quiet moment on the balcony and enjoy the magic of a Paris Perfect stay.
