We know you wine lovers didn’t miss that yesterday was the third Thursday in November. What’s the big deal about that date in France? It’s Beaujolais Nouveau Day! That’s when this year’s Beaujolais nouveau wines are officially released on the market. These fruity red wines are ready to be bottled only 6-8 weeks after the autumn harvest and are meant to be enjoyed right away. That’s not a problem for us!
We’re not the only ones celebrating that “Le Beaujolais nouveau est arrivé!” (The new Beaujolais has arrived!) We’ve just heard through the grapevine (sorry … couldn’t resist!) that Christian Constant is celebrating the arrival of the Beaujolais nouveau in a fun way this month. He is offering a free glass of Beaujolais to all guests dining in his restaurants that announce “Chez Constant, c’est toujours Constant” with gusto … but only if you say it in French!
What a fun way to celebrate the Beaujolais nouveau this year while enjoying a delightful meal from one of Christian Constant’s award winning restaurants! One of the best restaurants in Paris, Violon d’Ingres is Constant’s Michelin starred restaurant located on the charming Rue Saint-Dominique in the 7th arrondissement not far from the Eiffel Tower. Just down the street you’ll find out favorite Café Constant, which offers Constant’s excellent menus in a cozy café setting.
Also located on Rue Saint-Dominique is Christian Constant’s restaurant Les Cocottes, which is named after the baking dish that many of the items on the menu are served in. Head over to David Lebovitz’s website for a review of Les Cocottes. You won’t go wrong in any of Constant’s restaurants on Rue Saint-Dominique!
Visit Maison Constant to find out more about Christian Constant’s restaurants in the 7th arrondissement in Paris. If you’ll be enjoying a meal at one of his restaurants now through November 30th, 2012, don’t forget to practice your line for a free glass of Beaujolais nouveau. Are you ready? All together now (and don’t forget the gusto!): “Chez Constant, c’est toujours Constant!”
