If you follow the Paris Perfect Instagram account, you know that summer in Paris can get pretty hot. This translates well for warm summer evenings spent outside on restaurant terraces, with glasses of chilled rosé. However, during the day, it can be a challenge to find a way to keep cool. Fortunately, you’re in luck; we’ve rounded up the coolest places to beat the heat during summer in Paris!
Summer in Paris
Piscine Molitor is a beautiful Art Deco pool.
Jump into an Art Deco Pool
There are numerous pools around Paris accessible to anyone, but a few are still in the Art Deco style and are worth seeing even if you’re not a swimmer. The most famous is the Piscine Molitor, which was entirely renovated and reopened in 2014, but there are two other Art Deco pools you can visit as well: Piscine Pailleron in the 19th arrondissement and Piscine Pontoise in the 5th. The latter has evening hours during which they turn on colored lights for a fun night-swimming experience.

Head to a Museum
Not all of the museums in Paris are air-conditioned, but the ones that are are the perfect spots to get a little culture while cooling off. Musée d’Orsay, Musée de l’Orangerie, Musée Picasso and Musée Marmottan Monet all have some air conditioning (the Marmottan is air conditioned in the basement), though it’s best to avoid the more popular museums or those housed in hôtels particuliers (former nobles’ houses located around the city), as those don’t have air con.
