Piscine Molitor is a beautiful Art Deco pool.

Jump into an Art Deco Pool

There are numerous pools around Paris accessible to anyone, but a few are still in the Art Deco style and are worth seeing even if you’re not a swimmer. The most famous is the Piscine Molitor, which was entirely renovated and reopened in 2014, but there are two other Art Deco pools you can visit as well: Piscine Pailleron in the 19th arrondissement and Piscine Pontoise in the 5th. The latter has evening hours during which they turn on colored lights for a fun night-swimming experience.

See Monet’s art in air conditioning at Musée de l’Orangerie.

Head to a Museum

Not all of the museums in Paris are air-conditioned, but the ones that are are the perfect spots to get a little culture while cooling off. Musée d’Orsay, Musée de l’Orangerie, Musée Picasso and Musée Marmottan Monet all have some air conditioning (the Marmottan is air conditioned in the basement), though it’s best to avoid the more popular museums or those housed in hôtels particuliers (former nobles’ houses located around the city), as those don’t have air con.

Stay in an Air Conditioned Apartment

If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay, many of our Paris Perfect apartments are air conditioned: the Bel Air in the Marais, the Maubert in the Latin Quarter and the Merlot, with its incredible Eiffel Tower view, are all equipped with central air conditioning. Our other apartments have the option for mobile AC, allowing you to stay cool during your summer in Paris.

Café Central on rue Cler is one of our favorites to enjoy a cool drink.

Go for a Cool Drink

Any of the restaurants on our roundup of the best places to eat outside in Paris would qualify, though there are a few we love that do have indoor air conditioning. Some of our favorites include Ô Chateau, La Maison Blanche, Café Central and Café Constant (which is right around the corner from many of our Paris Perfect apartments!).
